but the coach can do strange things. There might be 1 minute left on the clock and the scores are tied, he would probably move players around to positions they are best at to try and win the game.

Yes, i know, it happens more often than i expected but sometimes the coach forgets to do it and the player gets +48, it´s great!!

haha yeah :D Just remember that the coach's job is to try and win games, not to give you full training :)

i can train 5 max. so am not sure..
not using roster, each trained position plays full game? any other way around?

Training 5 players at 2 position training is normal, but you´d be very lucky to give 48 minutes to 6 players...
As other managers said before even if you set a player as starter backup and reserve, in your case 2 players at 2 positions, you can´t be sure them to play the full game. And doing this 3 times a week it´s very random.
You can try it dressing 5 players each game but you´ll be taking a big risk, defeats, injured, etc.

Hey

In the scenario you described I think this other PG you were describing should be assigned to an alternate position. So in the event of a blowout, this player will play the other position instead.

If you have him unassigned to anything, he might get minutes at PG. So the solution is to assign him to a position but just not PG.

If you want to maximise your chances of getting training for 6 different guys, you should dress no more than 8 players for each game. For both of your trainees, you have to assign them to all 3 depth spots (primary - backup - reserve). Also, make sure your bench players for 3 non-trainable positions are listed both as backup and reserve. This way you shouldn not have any vacant spots in your whole lineup. As others mentioned, use let them play.

You may also want to play a slower-oriented tactic to make sure your trainees don't tire too much (I believe some of them might have low stamina).

I've been using 2-position training for 6 weeks now and I've been fairly successful with that. The first 3 weeks I pulled it off and got full training for all 6 guys. The following 3 weeks I only managed to train 5 guys because of fouling out.

Good luck to you!

So it´s possible to give 48 minutes to a player in a position that he usually doesn´t play if you set him as starter, backup and reserve, if all the others dressed players are assigned at other positions.
Thanks a lot.

just as i thought.
thanks

probably a dumb question, but still...
i got bad stamina's and three throws. what would you choose to train? during all star week
i've chosen three throws. reason: 1.equal players (so am not sure if stamina takes any important role) and 2. possible outcome- more points from three throw line

Stamina IS important especially when a player is playing heavy minutes.
