we are fans, we are qualified to comment lol

just to reinforce my other comments, i just wouldnt put the blame solely on triano right now just because our roster, lets face it, is crap
i'd wait till ed davis comes back, see the new rotation... let BC decide who and when hes going to make a deal (remember that TPE?), and THEN we should decide on whether or not triano is worthy of coaching that new group of guys

some days i think BC put triano in there to take some heat off himself because quite frankly, nothing hes done seemed to have worked out:
kapono was a failure
ford got usurped by calderon (who was actually babcock's signing)
jermaine oneal? (which btw we traded roy hibbert for)
hedo?
delfino was great but couldnt resign him
garbo was great but he got injured and didnt try to keep him

lots of moves, lots of hype, but nothing's worked out for BC
im glad hes not passive, but sometimes he should really calm down and think before doing things

Can someone tell me a bit about who the guy the raptors drafted? Am more into hockey than basket ball , but I do enjoy the raptors. I like the game tonight as we either win or we get a important loss as far as the draft goes haha.

Draft express is a pretty reliable site. He was, at a time, projected to go earlier than 13th but his stock probably fell due to a wrist injury. He's raw and with defensive potential. I like what I've read about him - his strengths on that side panel. I'd assume he needs to put on significant muscle mass to reach that potential.

Seems like a good pick at #13. He did get injured again, though (hasn't played yet this season).

Thanks Stajan and congrats on the past few seasons you always have been a class a guy. I really hope he can be effective as if the raptors can draft high they should be a way better team next year.

Initially I'm liking this trade, Peja is an expiring contract, Bayless is a talented young PG. I never liked Andersen and Jack wasn't playing well this year at all. This puts a lot of pressure on Jose to keep up his current form, though.

The greatest of all time.

well either way, its hard to move Calderon and his 9mil/yr contract
i've always liked Calderon, he just got a bad rep because he messed up his hamstring that 1 year and we have crappy interior/help D
he still runs an efficient offense

We have a log jam of wings now though, unless Peja or Kleiza plays PF and Davis/Johnson/Evans plays C

I'm still sure Evans is on his way out, especially with Amir putting up decent numbers and Davis coming back

Peja may get bought out before the dust settles (which will increase our room under the lux tax to use more of our TPE), or get traded.
