or when a player is put onto the market, we can't find out his information except his skills, age and potential until the bid is over.

What change do you promise through that?

If I got this right I guess the idea here is making the transfers anonymous. You would only see the skills/age/potential (+gameshape, I would think) on TL and make your choice based on that information. You would not know from which team you are buying or the name of the player. This information would be revealed only after the transfer.

This would certainly make cheating a bit more difficult but unfortunately not impossible. Anyway, I don't like the idea.

I don't see how this would make cheating more difficult...with the ability to narrow a search with the salary, age, and 4 skills, the cheater could find the player quite easily. Also, reporting teams for cheating would become quite hard as the names of the players and the teams selling would be hidden.

You answered in part why cheating would not become impossible (there are ways to find specific players from TL). You also answered in part why it would become more difficult (you would need to spend time finding the players, which may sometimes be time consuming). You also found one of the reasons why I don't like this idea: by making the transfers anonymous, it becomes much harder for the average user to make cheating reports.

And what is the disadvantage that "normal users" can detect cheating in TL?

I don't know if there is a solution too.
For example, the BBs could add a tool which detects every transfer which is a X % higher than the TPE given for that player, but the staff will get loads of false positives. This is definitely a waste of time.

It's really good to see that the community is thinking about how to catch cheaters, but every suggestion has his pros and cons. But maybe it's a better suggestion, that every manager who's brainstorming about a solution, uses his time to search the TL for cheaters. I'm pretty sure that we cach more cheaters in this way.

Can you prove these teams are multi accounts? Because technically, as far as I'm aware, farm teams are allowed provided the owner doesn't have another team.
