Doh where is the spoiler alert? Ahhhhhh! NBA Spoiler DO NOT READ!

SO my question now is, what is better value?

$20k PF 1? Or $58k PF2?

$58k PF2 because he will take you to division II, earn you a $500,000 promotion bonus and an extra $100,000 a week for 14 weeks.

However I declare my bias, ezyfrag, Junel's coach, is one of my oldest buddies on BB and he is also friends with abigfishy and Iwen.

yes i picked up on the sense of bias in their comments.

So they bloody should comment though, he did play a better game! Id be worried if they said otherwise!

Im curious about your 'taking to division II' comment. The reason why i say that, is because at the moment, he is the 2nd most expensive player in our league, (short of some other guy earning $250k per week).

assuming ezy keeps training him, which i know he has been, next season his salary goes up again. How much jeapordy does this put on Ezys ability to have other good players on his team including JV? JV alone wont win him a chamionship?
Is JV going to be TOO good for DIV III?

Looking at previous winners of this leagues DIV III in past, i dont remember any team having a single player over $45k. Instead, they had a starting lineup that was full of players earning $30-$40k.
and i ask, for my own benefit really :) whether or not to keep training a guy past a certain cut off point, salary wise.

Well I am fairly sure that when the SASTROOPERS won Smeltz was around the $100,000 salary mark. Don't forget that if your player is an Aussie that you drafted and plays on the U21 team you get a big boost in merchandising and gate reciepts.

However we have been telling ezyfrag to spend some time working on his secondaries. Things like passing are free (don't affect salary) and make him a much better player.

6 blocks is 6 stops. Those 6 blocks accounted for 6 of the 9 missed shots.

Whilst your PF out-rebounded him, you played with more effort and your big man had better game shape.

Big V kept your PF to 7-18 shooting, 14 points off 18 shots, 0.77 points per shot. That's atrociously inefficient!

Account for the fact that Viojan also had 5 assists, well...

Not being a fanboy here, but the difference was really quite big!

But were all six blocks on teh opposition PF? I haven't watched the game. It could be that he has bloked the shot of say a SF that was driving to the bucket.

Yep guys V is getting guard training right now!1 Had a pop inpassing too!! still averaging 23ppg with 48mins in the pg position!! My team is no one trick pony tho!! I can get value out of every position!!

Gameshape sucks tho. but I need the cup wins because that = $$$$$$$$$$$$

Now thats good justification! I like it!

yer the 5 assists and my PF's poor shooting percentage is what tipped it for me.

I was reading an intereting forum discussion on the importance of Shot Blocking as a skill and someone put it into a different perspective. A blocked shot you could say is 2-points saved.

6x2 = 12 points saved. But again, same could be said for the shots VJ caused my PF to miss.

And yes, game shape - one of the reasons why i keep playing this game is because i keep learning something all the time. Game shape has been the thing that ive really picked up on this season and when you look at those stats of players, plus take into account game shape PLUS team effort for the game, then yes, my PF got ... well im still reluctant to say killed, but i guess thats the point of the exercise, to see what else can be a measure of difference.

Good stuff! We'll just have to make sure ezy remembers to set his team lineup in the finals this season and maybe he will make it to Div II.

yea but ezy played motion so violjan is pretty impressive for him to get 20 points.

I think blocks only rolled after defense roll fail.
