I think the only thing that matters is your location when you sign up. If you move to another country your not forced to give up your team. If you want to play as your new country you will have to start over.

There's no problem except for time zones. Your games may start very early in the morning.

I can't imagine that being the case.

It seems ridiculous to ban IPs because the bloke logged on while on holiday at a foreign country.

I did it for a month when I was in the US. No problem except for the timings.

a friend of mine did something similar. He had a masked IP at work, that showed he was somewhere in the UK, i think. He cant login from there anymore... Just an individual experience

Thats a different case though. It could be seen as the account is hacked if he logs on at home with IP of his home country and at work is a IP of a different country. It is physically impossible to travel between the 2 countries within the timeframe between home and work logins so hence it could be seen as suspicious activity.

Just speaking from experience as a ex-mod for another game.

or the Admins of his working placed asked, what he did during his working time and blocked the site.

As i said before, when you start playing in Germany and move somewhere else, you can log in your team without problems from other country but cause of tipp off times/friends maybe you are intrested to start playing in your new country.

What can cause problems, are people who registered in vacation or one week before they move to another country especially when you are in a micronation at that moment.

I hoped i didn't tell to much.

i doubt that the admins asked, but it's a possibility. The error occured like this. He has three places to log in from, girlfriend, home, work. He logged in from work, and it worked... 5 mins later log in was no longer possible, the site itself was not blocked. In addition, he could no longer log in from his girlfriends' place. So, what can you make of that?
