I've just had a look at your roster, your best trainee for age/potential is John Goodman, so I would put him at the centre of your training plans and single position train him. Then look for a similar player in his position on the transfer list aged 18 or 19 who has starter potential or better (starter potential is ok to train for the rest of this season and next) and make that player Goodman's backup.

While you're not in the cup, you don't need more than 10 players on your roster (you can play scrimmages with only three players) so you might want to sell or fire your third-sting players to save on the wage bill.

I played a scrimmage today with only 3 players but then got a BB-Mail from the opponent being quite angry I didn't play a full squad...is it frowned upon in this game? I'd have assumed most people would understand trying to improve form?

Sounds like the opponent is inexperienced.

maybe you left them short on training minutes and theyre super protective over getting 48+?
when you dont field a full team both teams dont get 5x48 minutes spread over their dressed players.
im not sure why this is the case but it happens.

otherwise just rude and inexperienced :)

are you sure about this? i always believed this only happens when you play 2 players or less, and the game results in a walk over??

Yeah if you field at least 3 players the game works out as normal and everyone involved gets trained for the minutes they played.

As mentioned before, the opponent probably just didnt realise this due to being very new.

Yes it certainly happens on a walk over. However I quickly added up the minutes this morning and the opponents team was short but perhaps there is another reason for this or maybe my adding up was off that early.
