Hey my "playground" was enough to give me 60k per week in one of the hardest D.III leagues last season so I'm perfect happy with it I appreciate your concern though. I think you should be more worried about how many people attend your playground after losing to my team by 20+ points

Best of luck to everyone this season.

My record wont be great this season as I hope to put more focus into managing minutes and training the HOF trainee i drafted but I will be making a push come playoff time.

Oh and for the sake of smack talk, I'm really going to hate eliminating you in the Conference Finals E.B.W. :)

GREAT 8

1st seed: ExplosiveBubbleWrap- a strong overall team with good depth and a great starting lineup. They can also play many different tactics which makes them diverse.

2nd seed: Hunterz- Up there with ExplosiveBubbleWrap as far as starters and skillwise but doesnt have as much depth and will be training their Hall of Famer which will make it hard to win games and or manage gameshape

3rd seed: Delpra- They should get the 3rd seed if they can manage gameshape (They only have 9 players which will make it hard for cup games and 2 season games at the beginning). Yet another pretty strong starting lineup with a 30k PG and a 24k Center.

4th seed: Seattle Tsunami- a team with a good group of players that likes to play look inside. they have 3 big men with salaries of 12k, 14k, and 17k and should end up with a playoff spot.

5th seed: Big Dawgs- A team with decent depth and a good amount of players that can get the job done but doesn't have any stars. Right now they are my mystery team which could jump anywhere between 4rd-6th seed.

6th seed: Miu & Co.- decent looking team with a couple of very young talented players who will grow throughout this season but also lacks stars and solid big men, which will make it hard for them to do well in this league.

7th seed: Orlando Magic Ballers- A very OLD team with only 3 players having salaries of 8k or more and barely any depth. His players skills will die throughout the season so unless they make some changes and a few transfers they will most likely be in a relegation match when it is all said and done.

8th seed: Las Vegas Villians- a team consisting of many 4k and under players and will without a doubt be the 8th seed unless the pick up some good players VERY soon.

PREDICTIONS FOR THE GAMES: (Bolded means win)
Hunterz @ Seattle Tsunami

ExplosiveBubbleWrap @ Las Vegas Villians

Orlando Magic Ballers @ Big Dawgs

Miu & Co. @ Delpra

If this gets a couple of +1's then i will also do the Big 8 tomorrow morning/afternoon before the game start.

Hey Hunterz it looked like you completely threw your game. Whats the reasoning behind that if you don't mind me asking? I didn't play my best 3 players either but i still pulled it out due to the bad team i was playing. You played a decent team and still didnt play your stars... why? why why why why?

I was very shocked, indeed. But he made it clear that he would focus on building his team.

Also, thank you for the predictions. I think you, E.B.W., will make our forums more lively. Looking forward to another great season.

The thing is though, i don't think he played his hall of famer rookie either so it didn't make any sense.

So I figure I should explain as it has a couple of you wondering :P
I did throw the game E.B.W. Last year I made an early exit from the cup because I underestimated a team. This season I drew a really good team to have to face in the first round. I would like to go at least a few games deep in the cup as I could really use the extra cash no matter how small the amount. I am trying to position the team for long term success (something that has never been given much thought in the past).

So why did I throw the game?
Its all about minute management. I faced Tsunami in game 1, Delpra in game 2, and a tough Cup game for the 3rd game this week. I could have played my starters and normal rotations and probably won all 3 games but it would be at the expense of numerous stamina skill drops(which i'd then have to deal with all season or take time out of my training plan to fix) and potential injury in a slightly older than I'd like roster. I might still lose the cup game in which case I threw a game (potentially 2 depending on how the Delpra game goes) in vain. I honestly dont care though as I feel I can earn a win against Tsunami later in the season and likely stay seeded higher than them in the playoffs which is when the games truly matter. Not to mention, I figured the game would be a tad closer; expected a loss but felt it would be something other than that massive blowout.

Also, you were right, my HOF rookie didnt play. He will be playing against Delpra because he's slightly better than the other bench riders i have and wont hurt us as much in that game. I felt Delpra was the much tougher matchup and if I had to choose 1 of the first two games to win I'd rather it be against them. Note to Delpra: You'll be seeing some of my starters and I certainly hope its a much closer game. :-)

In summation: I did basically what the Spurs did recently against the Heat. I chose to rest my starters and save them for tougher opponents because I felt it'd be better for the team in the long run than a single "W" in the standings.

And lastly, I'll reiterate. There might be some odd things happen with the Hunterz this season. We are trying to reposition no only for promotion but so that we can have continued success after promotion. We've been to D.III and it was a short trip; our next trip is going to be different. The training and development of our youth and expansion are necessary components of our long term goals and a focus on the short term win/loss is detrimental. Ownership urges Hunterz fans to have faith and rest assured, The Hunterz WILL be present in the playoffs and we will be making a run.

haha fair enough. I assumed you were jsut gonna throw your cup game but your doing it the other way around. It will be quite a shame if you lose both your league games this week and cant win your cup game either
