I fully agree both:

- remove empty lineups:
Why managers who try to optimize minutes, who try to scout how your players should play against opponent are penalized when he/she will put players into lineup manually? I really don't get it! There should be some pros and cons in all decisions and now empty lineup has one major pros = optimal performance in every case. Thats why all national teams, all highest level teams in all critical games will choose empty lineup.

- remove gameshape training:
Okay this is just a game, but what kind of training in real life would be gameshape training?? Minute management should be important factor in this game. I see that most beneficial strategy is definetly: minimal team, empty lineup, gameshape training. Income from training is less than savings with smaller team and better arena income due to better performance. It is also making this managerial game too simple!

Gameshape training could be anything from just shooting around, getting massaged, stretched just a laid back practice to get that last touch right before a game, I disagree Game shape should not be removed..

However I like the idea regarding the blank lineups, where someone said that they should simply just randomize the squad just like with a bot team..

So yay for gameshape staying and nay for blank line-ups..

I agree as well, remove GS training. Personally, it doesn't hurt me, since I play in the mostly bot league, and none of the active managers is playing 7 cheap vets + BL/LCD + GS training. But it's making the game boring, one-dimensional..

If you really want to keep GS training then what you could do is tie its effectiveness to the player's age just like all other training. Basically, GS training would only have an effect on players aged 26 and younger. That would effectively kill the strategy of using 7-8 old guys while at the same time rewarding those that invest in young players.

As a coach that got trainees, I agree to delete game shape training from the game!
