Yes it should be a very tightly contested season indeed. It looks like we are going to have to wait a while before we can identify the championship contenders. And yes roster depth does not represent strength in a team.... But almost always you will find the strongest teams have depth

Different statergies all round, you can go real deep with a good 10man rotation or go the other way spend your salary on starting 5 and have one or two rotation players coming off the bench.

Generally i like to somewhere in between with 3 quality bench players however last season i basically went all out on 4 position and not a lot else except trainees, which worked out ok. Although i feel this had quite a bit to do with me spending a shit load more than anyone else.

Hopefully not Breaker, interesting first up game, nice to see a few old faces from III.2, it's been a long time.

Hope to stay up, just make certain you send your team over to mine to boost attendances.

local Derby at some stage Balwyn v Doncaster..........

I vote we play at a neutral venue - middle of the Eastern Freeway looks good!

Ideally you would want deep roster with good players but let's say when you are comparing two teams, one with depth and the other with 5 higher salary players and two defensive bench. I would say the team with higher salary players has a better chance of winning.
Obviously, you would run the risk of foul troubles and injuries, but if select your player carefully, I think you can avoid that.

For a one off game, yes.

Hard to win 2 games + the cup when you only have 7 decent players though.

Correct! And II.1 budget is too limited, not enough for roster salary & staff salary :( some more if out going is over income need to pay extra charges :(

Good for two games with gameshape trainings but won't win cup. Winning cup is different strategy or tank one league game. It's not very common for a team to win league and also cup. I only know of a few from memory. That's a different story. If you referring the strength of a team in the league, 7 players can be a championship team.

Looks like you won two league games with a fairly short roster. Are you running at a loss at the moment?

Gone quite in here bow that we've seen most teams and what there plans anyone have any thoughts on the season and its outcomes.
Looks like the blue side is stronger than the red after first of cross conference game leading 5 to 3
