I think the main thing here is that it makes 19yo more desirable to draft which in turn means that the draft will run a lot deeper. In the past it wasn't worth investing unless you had a top 3 pick (probably only the top), but now if you can get 5/5 19yo it may actually be worth drafting and training him.

Don't know if the 10 points for 2 skills will be worth it if you still have to spend the 3 to find out potential. If you could find out potential without using any points to find the star rating then maybe spending the points to find out specific skills would be more advantageous.

For me, this new adjustment comes at the right time Because I want to add a new player to my team who can add some umph to my bench.

Now, with these new scouting options, I can actually have more of a clearer view if i can train him or not.

I am a guy who personally NEEDS good OD in order to be successful. As well as PA in terms of NO donkey big man (all guard skills low)

I think a new era in big men is changing; that there will be more well rounded ones instead of the mono-skilled donkeys. Which is reason why I like this new feature (I can now get the OD, SB, PA, and JR at only 20 pts cost)

I also have lots of scouting pts saved up as well So this season its in to the draft boards and seeing who got it and who don't!

P.S. I probably will also still look for potential, because if its a MVP+, I'm probably selling him for cash.

Is the other anouncement about stamina influencing game shape also for this season or will it be introduced at a later stage? That was a bit unclear to me.

"from now on, high stamina players will have a slightly better tolerance to higher weekly minutes as opposed to their lower stamina counterparts. "

The way I read it, it goes into effect immediately. I had a feeling there was already a relation like this, so now I know for sure there will be. Great change.

These implementations to the draft are very welcome! It allows more variety for your long-term planning. For example my team already has a few older trainees and to complement/switch trainees, I can get a player for my exact needs. The scouting combine will be a interesting area where people might either ignore it for the skill scoutings or then the height (which ultimately affects training speed long-term imo) info will still be valued by other managers. Ofcourse, with the option of more info from the draft lists is nice, still the investment into it hasn't been changed and this might force you into an awkward situation. What I'm saying is that, you might end up scattering your few points across the board and end up with some players who don't have the right potential/height etc. All in all, more depth into the draft is nice and it's been talked about for quite a while! (y)

Another good issue is the stamina effect and the lowered impact of game shape training - I believe this will also cut down on old player tanking and focus more on training your own players (increased effect of the improved draft system!). I believe these changes have a good chance of increasing the competitiveness of BB - and ultimately help its survival! :)

The new options definitely serve to encourage managers to invest in scouting points even if they don't plan on using them in their current season. And for someone like me who likes to have a look at the draft even when I'm only going to have a late-round pick, the idea that better 19yo players will help make the draft deeper greatly appeals to me. Makes sense from a logical standpoint too...

The 'exact skill' scouting options are very interesting... it might not be something I use that much, because scouting points aren't exactly plentiful (5k per point and you can only buy two per week unless you pay a premium), and in the end, potential is still the most important aspect of the draft for almost everyone. But having more draft options available can only be a good thing.

Thanks BB dev guy!

So... how does the 19yo change affect rating of the draftees?

I mean, yesterday there was no one with strong in a skill, and the rating top was 5 balls as well as the max grade was A+... is this going to change? For example: 18yo can't reach A+ or... ?

Good point does each age have there own grade rating now or is it all based on 19yo A+ and then work down from there?

There will just be more 19yo A+ players. The grades remain the same, it's just the range of skills that change.

I THINK I like the new draft stuff. A lot of managers will now focus on things that are mere distractions, so a focus on what is significant may pay off a little better. Although, an 18-year old with Hall of Fame potential at the 13th pick wasn't too shabby.
