Sh....t... that was not the plan :(... Ookawa was sold. I just wasn't able to be online around the time the bit ended. Sorry for that, hope the new owner will let him play. What a disappointment...

Very interesting split this season between the good teams in Asia and the bad teams. a perfect split between 3-0 vs 0-4 in all 3 pools.

Now we are already guaranteed to pass through to the next round and will enjoy the gentle ride for the next 3 weeks.

My 2 cents......
!st, you don't have to run your starters in scrimmages, maybe give some of the other guys on the team a chance to get some run.

2nd...Ookawa sucks, how is he NT material?
How is: Jump Shot: average Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: pitiful Handling: inept
Driving: awful Passing: pitiful
Inside Shot: marvelous Inside Def.: prodigious
Rebounding: prodigious Shot Blocking: tremendous

better than this: Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: proficient Handling: tremendous
Driving: sensational Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: marvelous Inside Def.: marvelous
Rebounding: prodigious Shot Blocking: average

I really don't care that my player is on the team or not....But if you think Ookawa is better, than I guess I voted wrong in the last election.

I posted Motoori"s stats, I really don't think he is NT material, but what kind of message is he sending by having a MONO skilled bum on the team. 2 OD/Passing should never be on the NT team.
Age, doesn't matter, 28 is the same as 31 for training secondaries on bigs.

What has me more baffled, is the fact that he even runs his starters in easy scrimmages, What is the point in that?
BTW....I have to admit Wolph, you were one of the best NT managers we have had in Japan. Bums like that would never have a Japanese flag next to their name when you were coach.

Dude, that was a cheap shot. You're better than that...

Ok, I did have one too many beers when I wrote that.......Wait, that sounds like something Wolph would say.....OMG, take me out back and shoot me..

TBH, Starters shouldn't be getting run in scrimmages.

You're right, Ookawa sucks vs our other guys. But show me someone his age or younger that's as good. The issue is our team is aging.

Good feedback on scrimmages, I can mix it up more.

Impressive that we are in the good half of Asia.

Very limited supply of bigs for Nippon.

Kouzo Yasujiro 31 ex-Swoosh
Takayoshi Kishita 29 ex-Sashiogi Heaven current Kyoto Shogun
Katsurou Matsumoto 30 Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings
Eita Wakatsuki 30 Kyoto Shogun
Katsu Ookawa 28 9 different owners lol
Tohru Asano 32 Kitakyushu
Itaru Takasugi 29 7 owners lol
Ichiro Nishimura 28 Kyoto Shogun worst big on roster but still getting trained at least.

Looking at Ookawa
Jump Shot: average Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: pitiful Handling: inept
Driving: awful Passing: pitiful
Inside Shot: marvelous Inside Def.: prodigious
Rebounding: prodigious Shot Blocking: tremendous

Take out the SB and add more secondaries & you could make a player like that by age 22 & maybe with as low as perennial allstar potential & certainly no higher than superstar.

Look at this guy on the TL right now.

Meng Xingmin (30737161)
Center
Owner: heeringas
Weekly salary: $ 104 870
Role: rotation player
(BuzzerBeta)
DMI: 734600
Age: 22
Height: 6'11" / 211 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: strong
Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: average Handling: respectable
Driving: respectable Passing: pitiful
Inside Shot: marvelous Inside Def.: marvelous
Rebounding: prodigious Shot Blocking: prominent
Stamina: atrocious Free Throw: atrocious

I have my 3 guards Ko Maruya (18 Superstar), Kazushi Miyakawa (18 perennial allstar) & Tetsuo Soma (19 star still looking for a beter 3rd) that I am training. We need someone to get onto the next generation of bigs. From the NT list you can see that while OS teams like Nippon players they dont train them very well.

On the U21 team we have

Fumitake Nakata (33169491)
Weekly salary: $ 16 570
DMI: 265400
Age: 21
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: superstar

Yuya Akimoto (33169496)
Weekly salary: $ 9 279
DMI: 60400
Age: 20
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: MVP

as well of a bunch of guys with allstar potential, 5k salaries and in pitiful GS lol.

Maybe Brutus you should contact their owners & tell them they could have the next NT bigs on their hands and discuss their training.
