Your math was wrong...he never made 274k as far as I can see. His last 6 league games are as follows according to his arena page:

229,447
235,835
231,370
235,565
255,380

So he's averaging 235k and the other 7-4 teams seem to be on 215k-220k. That does seem high considering he's just been demoted, he's lost his rival game and his bleachers were full for 3 games which means his average should have been even higher. Notably his 255k gates came against a newly promoted team which won only 1 game, which means his average could have been around this value with correct pricing.

I'm pretty sure he has a high level (say lvl 6) PR manager and that may make up for the 30k difference compared to the other teams. It does seem odd, because even assuming a high level PR manager and even though he avoided the boycott, he should have a drag from demotion.

It would be interesting to know the season ticket holders of the various teams, but that's not information which is publicly available, just like the PR level. What is the league-wide average for gate receipts?

If his gates are confirmed at around 255k that's around 35k over others with better record (so more road wins) and WR and despite losing the rival game and coming off a demotion (so a perennial low score in the last season performance part of the fan survey) it does seem weird.

That would also be more than 50k above the league average which sounds unlikely, the average being around 200k. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I think he's doing better in boxes and courtside which are more resilient, but notably also in bleachers. Bleachers and LT are volatile and you should get screwed big time if you have a bad or mediocre fan survey.

Btw forget about getting Marin to look into this. The last time I promoted to D2 in Utopia, my gates went something like 249k>352k>350k>351k>348k. I posted in bugs after the second game and he told me to monitor for a few games, I did for a coupke of weeks and when it became clear the first game was 100k short as the others hovered around 350k like clockwork and 3-4k from each other without changing prices, he told me there was nothing he could do as too much time had passed anyway.

Now that I mentioned it, I seem to recall my gates towards the end of the season in D3 were around 250k actually and I very much doubt I was using a better than basic PR manager. I remember because I argued with Marin that the first game was played as if I was still in D3.
