If you had done any computer programming at all, you would know that no, it's never "no more than 50 new lines of code" ;)

If you change training speed, you'll just make high potential players very expensive and make the game even more unbalanced towards big teams with millions in the bank.
Old players were young one day, so for every 34yo player, you're bound to find the equivalent 28yo player with the same skill or better, it's just that they cost so much more and are more of a long term investment. The old man strategy works really well in the short term, but you got to keep renewing the team

Maybe hidden skill, that would determine how fast player trains would make training a bit more interesting? 1% draftees would have lets say 50% faster training rate compared to usual speed. It would be possible to have young players with high tsp.

You can actually win with a bunch of 25-30 y/o's. The only problem is how to acquire those talent.

I never did any actual programming before, but I do assume it shouldn't be too hard to do with the codes for BB, especially when BB-Anthony could speed up the training speed of his trainees that easily (and got himself kicked off the BB team).

That said, I do agree that it shouldn't actually be directly proportional to potential or the rich teams will just keep getting richer. Maybe a hidden stat like mentioned above. Even then I wouldn't want it to have too big an impact. Maybe one extra pop a season or something minor.

How about adding additional hidden skill like:

Agility, Running Speed and body flexibility... where the Younger ones dominates... but degrades with age.. the idea is to make the youngsters' faster on court but their lack of skill set are still at play... but the oldies' experience and skill sets can match the space created by the youngsters to challenge a shot and vice versa...

That gave me a much more simpler idea: gameshape

They could make that young ones are much more easier to stay in a good gameshape than the old ones. That would be quite realistic, but maybe not quite impactful

Sounds good but that could also directly affect the U21 Players... for me... as a new manager of the game and that currently tank games for good draft position... I always give my trainees all the time they can possibly play to gain EXP early... that could be good for my strategy too... but remember the U21 competitions too... that will make the GS easier to maintain...
