In fact, not long ago, an Italian media filmed an advertising video that discriminated against Chinese people, which caused a very bad response in China.
As mentioned before, they chose very ugly models with small eyes, full of stereotypes, and belittle Chinese food as inferior to Italian food.
Chinese people like to call Italy "the China of Europe", many people like Italian food very much, so this kind of thing is very disappointing.

No idea about the media you're talking, I'm convinced that media can do everything but I learned during the years to not believe them, we've to select carefully all the infos and the truth is not easy to find btw your choice if believe me or not but the common opinion here in Italy is that Chinese peoples are hard workers that "bad" aspects could be related to the fact that you're using to copy products and replay them (personally I don't think so) and there are some question marks if you've what we called "democracy" after what happened with the owner of Alibaba with the limit at 3 hours for the videogames and so on BUT we've the same problem here, I think we live too in a false democracy. Again and for the last time cause I can't force you to believe me, China here is not discriminated make a trip and you'll check personally.
PS: Strongly convinced that no one BBs would use BB to discriminate someone they try always to be more than polite
