I like the change but doing this without any notice, one week in a new season when people have been selling their 34yo in anticipation of drops is a big fat middle finger to the userbase. And that is coming from someone that is not impacted, luckily.

Will the drops for a 35yo now be comparable to a previous 34yo? Or are the effects just scrapped for 34yo and stay the same for 35yo?

I agree with many here...
The change is reasonable, trying to stay close to reality is not a problem.
However this is something which ideally should be announced either one season in advance or at least somewhere mid season... many of us are planning longer term ahead with the team, so something like this can have serious impact on the planning.

Sorry to pick you out among the Lebron lovers but it was easier. How many players under 35 are playing less well than they were? As js8 said, a few examples are outliers. The overwhelming majority are deteriorating before 35. So I dismiss those examples.

As for the lack of warning, what did you all expect? I've been pointing it out the last several seasons. You're not going to get warnings any more. It doesn't matter how big the change is, how massively it will change the economy of the game? None of that matters. All that matters is that there must be change. It doesn't matter if its good or bad, and it certainly doesn't matter if its ever been discussed or even thought through.

What a joke.
