in every one of these WTF games the team that got screwed got killed in coaching rating.

I won my match last night, but it was close and there's no reason it should have been: [MatchID=777176] i consider this a wtf, and i got owned in coaching rating. I killed this team in every facet of the zonal ratings, yet shot an unexplainable 38%. Key players had to stay in the whole game (one making it to 110 minutes for the week, and dropping his form from proficient to mediocre!)

Is it experience? Individual matchups? Bad luck?

Charles, I like to think I'm a fairly bright guy but this just went over my head:

What the coaching rating is - that's bascially the difference between the quality of the shot attempts that your team got and the quality that you would expect to get if all of your players were identical and had shooting skills that were correctly represented by your outside scoring/inside scoring ratings and if all of the opposing defensive players were identical and had skills that were correctly represented by their outside defense/inside defense ratings.

that is why I think all this ratings should be eliminated. For what I know, Buzzerbeater doesn't consider zone strength to decided the outcome of the games (like HT), it considers the game play-by-play, each play in detail based on the players involved.

I believe the STATS of the game should be used to analyse what happened, not the ratings. That's how huge of an advantage BB has over HT stats-wise, in my opinion.

I won't go long on this again cause I already said everything about this on (699.8)

I agree with stogey on this. I tried to get what you meant coaching rating was and dont really feel I gained ,uch fro, reading your description. Basically I got "it's complicated"

Not sure if this is a global trend but has anyone had a higher coaching rating than the other team and actually won the game???

At least a lot of the games have coaching ratings higher on the losing team!?

Some people won with a higher coaching rating, but it's rare.

I won 10 games in a row and I had lower coaching rating in ALL OF THEM !

I would hate to see them eliminate anything or overhaul the game engine as it is. It'd be great to see some tweaks/updates to the ratings to help make sense of them. From Charles post, I was happy to see the BB's understand where we are coming from. If there is something we are really doing wrong, there should be someway of seeing it and being able to adjust for it going forward. It's clear ratings are already being looked at so this is good.

One thing I really like about BB is that it's more complex than HT. You can't just load up on one aspect of the game or one player skill to win.
