You could train even 6 if you put in each macth on the posts you train different players without substitutions but it will affect the performance. If you are the best in your league you can do it.

This most of the times work but sometimes players get so tired that their being substituted even if you didn't put reserves for them.

That only happens if you don't use the option "Strictly Follow Depth Chart"

I've trained 5 players for 2 seasons, I like the model player A,B,C,D,E, so if you're training jump shot at sg/sf.

For the Saturday game, start players A and B at sg and sf, C and D are the backups to those positions and player E is the reserve at BOTH positions, and do the coach option follow depth chart until 4th. if you blow the team out you can pick up some cheap minutes but crucial minutes with that 5th player

Then the Tuesday game start player E at for this example sg, keep player C as the back up sg, then you have player D start at sf and player B back him up, and player A is now the 3rd string player at Both positions, again follow depth chart until 4th.

Then on Thursday, You'll need to start both players E and A. Player B should have his 48 minutes after starting and backing up a game if you use the follow depth chart til 4th, so your backups then are player C and D.

I have been doing this for 2 seasons and i have only had 3 weeks where ALL 5 players didnt get at least 48 minutes, and in those weeks the odd man out got at least 42.

Hope that helps, Good luck and happy training.
