A player I saw, I changed a few skills (made them higher) and wondering if someone would like that player.

Don't mind it, I would call it a experiment ;-)
More info will follow certainly!

oh, I see, you saw a player, know what his price is now if you'd buy him, and wonder how much you'd get when you have finished his training and want to sell again.

Well, I can be short on that: I bought a center for 1M8 or 1M6 a few seasons ago, trained him up 1 or more levels in all his insides, and now he's worth 1M4. ;)

What am I getting at? Well that is is prety unpredictable how much he will be worth when you are about to sell him again. I have learned my lesson, I don't buy players anymore to train and sell with profit. I've tried it, and lost money. If you are lucky, you can win money, but to me it's lottery. I now prefer to buy players I realy need, or at least can make good use of, and improve them how I thing they will benefit my own team most, then if they need to be replaced, I'll see what I'll get for them...

I wish everyone buying players for the sole purpose of training them somewhat and making profit good luck! they'll need it. hehe.

No need for good luck if you buy someone with at 18y and train him completely and sell him again after like 2 seasons. Im pretty sure you can make profits from it if you dont buy people with like mvp potential and decent skills coz they cost like 1.5 mil which is alot to get from a 20 year old. Profit will be alot more if you buy someone with slightly less potential unless you plan on making him a player with a salary of like 70k. I dont see the use of training a MVP potential anyway other than making him ridicilously good. Which brings it to my opinion of players not worth a salary of more than 80k.

the problem is that any promising 18 yr olds are expensive and if you train them 2 seasons, they are 20, and a lot less worth, so the increase in price you get from the skill-ups, might be less then the decrease of the age... that is where you need luck.

If you buy players with less potential, they are less expensive, but you also get much less from them once they have been skilled-up since the buyer also knows he will not be able to improve him any further... so I'm not sure if this works all the time.
TL is too unpredictable to be able to say there is a system which will be profitable.

Some systems will be, others will not, and anything in between. I honestly don't dare to say which are and which aren't at this time.

From hattrick it is so rusted that it works that way, but please do take the test: write down the cost of your player, calcualte the amount of wage he has cost byt he time you sell him, and see how much you get, then have a look at what you gained, taking into account the player was, or wasn't usefull for your teams' performances during that time... I think many would be surprised.
