The last sequence is sort of reminiscent of this NBA playoff elimination game. Ugh!

I can blame the game engine because he make 3 stupid things in 30 seconds
In this general game engine,a lay-up from a guard has low percentages, right? So,if the game engine knows that my guard has low percentage with this kind of shot, why my player shots, while I can lose 24 seconds leave them with only 4 second for a difficult buzzer beater? It would be MUCH MORE LOGICAL if,knowing that this shot has low percentages,my player decides to give the ball out and restart a new action

Then,defence.26 second to end,3 foul to spend before bonus....it's not a good idea to foul my adversary every 4-5 second to reduce his time?In real basketball is common to use some foul if you are still not in bonus to give to your adversary less time for a shot.A real coach would never leave the adversary team to use all 24 seconds in the offensive action, leaving their team only 2 second for the last shot. And surely won't leave the adverary to scor after only 6 second -.-"

The last action...I would understand if my players lose the ball because they had only 5 or 6 second and they could give difficult thing to find a shot...but 20 seconds are enough to build a shot,at least a forced shot from any part of the field. It's not like my player turns off the ball...he simply didn't shot because he don't like to win?

I'm sorry you lost the game but you simply can't go yelling for game engine changes every time something doesn't go exactly the way you want it to.

There were probably a lot of plays all throughout the game that might have turned out to be a better play if they did something else but you know what? That's basketball. No player and no team is perfect so they're not going to do the perfect play 100% of the time. Hell, even if the play is perfect, the shot just might not go in. It happens.

There was nothing irrational about what your players did at the end of the game, the other team was simply too good in that particular game and you'll just have to deal with that. It sucks losing a close game but you'll just have to learn from it and improve in the future.

I think there is a reason why exists a thread called "The crazy last minute thread"...

I want that the Ge act in a logical way, then if his the team of my adversary is better he would win. But,again,I don't see what was the logic in that situation

That's why I'm angry

Yes, it's a "crazy last minute" thread. It's all about amazing and exciting end of games like Rodney Rogers 9 points in 9 seconds if you want an NBA example.

The GE is acting in a logical way and i went over that in my first reply to you. Of course with the benefit of hindsight you can say "well if we'd just done this we might have won" but that doesn't mean that what your players did was necessarily the wrong thing either.
Just because the GE didn't go your way in this particular game, that doesn't mean that it's broken. Again, i get that you're upset because you lost a close game but it's happened to everyone and you'll just have to deal with it because the game engine isn't going to change every time you lose a game.

This was my season opener for season 13, and it still hurts to think about it.

Pretty much, I was up 1 when they attempted a junp shot with 0:00 seconds left. They missed it, and I thought I won. About 2 seconds later, it says that my guy got charged with a shooting foul. He makes both FTs, and I lose :(

I don't know how much basketball you've actually played or coached (I've got a few under my belt in both roles) but everywhere in the world bar the US this would have happened:

A) you collect an offensive rebound and do not have a clear shot while you're +1 the first thing you do is run the hell out of the paint with the ball and try to pass it to your best FT-shooter for the foul that will predictably come. You never ever try to force a shot with a high risk of missing it and/or the refs not whistling for a foul there in traffic.

B) The coach will tell the team to foul and get the opposing team to the FT-line in order to have the last possession. It's always better to have 20+ seconds to build you play rather than 4-5 secs due to a late basket of the opposing team. See for reference an NYT article (or SI, I don't remember correctly) prior to the 2008 Olympics where he said exactly this regarding the same situation possibly occurring in an hypotetic final USA-Spain with Spain leading by 1 with 20+ secs remaining.
It doesn't matter how good you defence is: you want to have the last possession in your hands and to have it with a significant amount of time.

C) See B. You don't have to rush to a quick basket for that same very reason.

So is the GE not the best around: yes!
