The players I listed aren't top division Pfs

I still disagree. As a lower division manager, I would rather take a PF who had less inside skills (or at least more balance, something like 3x prolific IS/ID/RB) but more outside skills than the players you mentioned. I would want a player who carries less salary but who still gives me the flexibility to run any offense and defense.

Anyhow, that's why I had to make an assumption. The players you mentioned are ok at C for a division II team, at least in Canada. But I don't think they stack up at PF in any division, unless you don't have the money for a true PF.

If the lower division manager would be promoted, that kinf of player would be weak at both the Sf/PF position, would be simply a good sixth man from the bench,so it would be better to save money and buy later a better player to make a real jump
As i see the matter, lower is your level, less outside skills you had to search in a PF,because there are relevant differences between the level of PFs inside skills in the league;at the top level, when the inside skills are nearly at the same level, become more important the outside skills to make the difference as the various big mans in the laegue
The economic sustainability is another matter,if you decide to buy a player you should yet know what is your economic budget,or you should wait

And clearly we just have different styles of playing the game.

i absolutely agree with you. these are players that are between c and pf. i also attemted to buy the third one, my limit was 2 million. i will hopefully be in second german league next season and i wanted him as a center and for this season as pf. i thought the price was way low. you can play him as pf or center, he has no clear position. painfully i only need such a player for becoming competetive next season, so i didnt buy him. anyway, i think the price was very low and i often see such prices with players that are between pf and c.

There is no question that the price of big men has fallen considerably this season. I think guard prices have fallen as well, but not as much as big men. My team value has dropped from about $30+ million at the start of this season to maybe $23 million.

Transfer prices seem to be pretty low at the moment... there is really still need for (this large amount of) free agents?

The transfer prices seem to be free falling. It's not funny at all.

Well the game has been stuck on 55,000 users for a while now and I imagine that as the weeks tick on the core of longer term users makes up a larger percentage of this number... so with more longer term managers you might assume that more rational long-term decisions are being made and with more mature players hitting the market to undercut the premiums that used to be paid for the best trainees, this causes the squeeze on everyone accept the very top players in the BB-world.
