i may be misreading your tone, but i did say

because i think the top 6 teams could all find a way to make the finals.


my little exercise is really nothing more than to survey who's holding what cards. now we all have to make decisions -- complicated ones, because part of the thinking is guessing how others are going to play their hand. i think you have a very good team -- the long Cup run and defeating the Dutch Wooden Shoes is testimony to that -- but do you make the move for the playoffs or for the revenue from relegation?

the Great 8 has been great this season because all the teams have been competitive for (much of) the season. (The Lickers, remember, had a PD of only a few negative points through game 16 or 17.) i have a lot of respect for this conference -- a lot of good teams. how all this plays out over the next week or so will be interesting.

Chanute and Redbull play each other tomorrow, and at stake is facing Corn Growers or Cyborg in relegation, two entirely different tasks. Chanute closes with The Lickers, Redbull, Tucumcari, so if Chanute wins .

I was just responding to this part of your summary, which seems to suggest that I may face relegation. Which would suck as I'd have to sell 2 or 3 key players to get back into the salary range for DIII.
