On you are lvl you are polishing the details. He has all the goods to be a really great inside- but- versatile SF. OD is essential with so many guard like SF's, but you can exposed there inability to defend him inside too. Giving him some rebounding you will be able to hide his poor OD using 3-2 zones. So lets imagine him something like JS12/OD10-12/RE8-9. Its like 10 pop ups. Maybe it worth it...

Can you elaborate more on the sentence in bold? I've re-read it a couple of times and tried to understand but cant figure out how RB can make up for a deficiency in OD.

Well lets say that you are playing 3-2 zone having him as SF but you cant count on him to make stops on SG like SFs. To hide his inability to guard those kind of players the logical choice is to play 3-2 zone. But if you do that then you have 1 player less on the position to rebound, but again a strong rebounder maybe he will not get his 10 that he average but he will get 7 for example. So with that way you are hiding his poor OD, and at the same time you dont lose much from the rebounding department. This the way that i am thinking it.

Its something that i have tried in the past using my PF who has great shooting skills but awful OD and it worked at some point.

10 skillups in two seasons? I would give him this:

OD- 3
RB- 3
HN- 2
PA- 2

He would then be good enough to play on a team that loses by 39 to BC Hostivar!

It was only the laxatives spiked in into your guys gatorade at the end of the 3Q..... I reckon if you had him he wouldve reduced the deficit to 37!

What Do u think of this guy?

Age: 19
Height: 6'8" / 203 cm
Potential: MVP

Jump Shot: mediocre ↑ Jump Range: pitiful
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: average
Driving: respectable Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: inept Free Throw: pitiful

What do u think i should train?
I was thinking of making him a SF since he has decent inside skills and i train guards.
Any inputs will be appreciated.

He is a bit tall to do be a SF. You could first start with a few levels off guards skills, like JS, OD and PS and than when he turns 21 or so start training his inside skills.

I think for the perfect guard trainee he is a bit tall, but with his MVP potential and a bit off patience, he can become a very nice player...

6'8" is just about an in-between height, so conventional thinking says this is just the right height for SFs. However, I generally agree with you that he is too tall. This is only because I like outside focused SFs more in the new engine (to be more specific, looking more like a PG). I like my SF trainees to be right around 6'4" (less can even be better).
