The Season thread used to be so boring in previous seasons. What the hell has happened this Season?

Which do you prefer? You can't really describe something as boring and then go on to complain about how it is now. Personally I think its much more lively now.

I think you're right about the Utopia effect on the market forcing prices up. Clearly there's more money in the game and economically speaking that inevitably leads to inflation. The BBs don't seem to mind this. I don't think its good.

Actually they told me they were fired up because they felt the accusations were unfair ;) I guess they agreed with the 2 independent managers who have pointed that out.

Also it's interesting that you say I'm a con man and you didn't agree when I pointed out the value of salary efficient players in Utopia/lower divisions, but now you agree with someone else when they make the same point?

Could we just move on now, you clearly have a problem with me for some reason, but I try very hard to contribute to the community and forums and to build the game so please just drop it.

I may provide the ultimate example of why not to gamble for 1 win...

My enthusiasm is now at ready. My top 3 guys all played 92 minutes + this week

So I now have no chance other than to take it easy for next 4 games and hope I can beat LT, whereas if I take it easy against you I then have a chance to normal 2 other winnable games or even just 1 but still have much higher enthusiasm for the run in...or sacrifice my prospects training for game shape.

Last season I did the sensible thing, this season for reasons we all know I went for the win, we'll see how it unfolds at end of year.

JB

Personally I respect people going for the risk - even if your motives may have been driven more by passion than reason, I'd rather play against passion any day.

You really should have checked back in the thread before you said that. I didn't even pass comment on utopia when I replied to you. Not that that even matters, the two statements about utopia weren't even the same.

I try very hard to contribute to the community and forums

My problem is that an English team could have been ripped off. I don't think that would help the community.

There's so much more to the game than just the transfer market. In the end its about winning. I wouldn't want to win by exploiting people on the transfer market, or by using the market to make a profit which I could save and then buy a championship/cup/whatever.

A quick look at the last 8 winners of anything in England is fairly revealing. Unfortunately there's no history for Risk and Reward but the other seven teams all had a negative balance. Since its public information anyway I hope no one minds me listing them.
Ashington Showboaters: -8million.
Wazungu: -2million.
Wrose Warriors: -4million.
Moomins: -16million.
SuperHands: -9million.

I've left the two most successful teams in England till last.
Tatatallfella: -28million
Swindon Bulls: -24million

Obviously none of those managers knew what they were doing.

Yep, money is what you get with endless winning spree. Money calls money - cycle.

That's why I pointed out throwing games does not really help, since it makes it easier to create cycles.

I made my wins in III, II and my fans were happy last season with getting here. My spree also made a -8mill by the looks of it. I've never enjoyed playing against the bench leaders of other teams, luckily I've never had to.
