I seriously doubt that in the future I will have the possibility to play the B3, first of all because I'm in love with the silver trophies (in Italy and Utopia, same destiny! And on Monday maybe also with Italy U21!) and because it's simply tough in a big country like Italy to overcome all obstacles in Cup or League. More difficult like in other countries, just as it is for Spain, Poland and so on, compared to other countries.
But, laying myself and lying to myself, dreaming about winning and about reaching a B3 final I won't, absolutely and for any reason, quit before playing. So don't misunderstand me, I completely agree about the message behind the WO, I respect a lot (and surely not blame) the courage to do something like this, because to send some kind of message is very very difficult, but I'm here to play and I would have played too.

@Perpete: No wonder who is listening us, I know already that the answer is noone. This micronation's topic has been a hot topic for seasons and season, jumping from economy to enth, merchandising, bonus and so on. Do something has been done?

If that's because BBs do not think it as an issue then there is any word I can type which can sound louder than the WO itself. Because of it I respect what darkonza did, even if I wouldn't have done.

I want to add one last thing. I was tied with Darkonza (4th) on the B3 prediction competition, so unlike most people giving their piece of mind here, i did have a chance to win a free supporter. I bet on Darkonza, fully knowing he was the underdog and assuming everyone else would bet on Cements, and therefore if there is someone who should be allowed to complain about the walkout that would be me. In fact, it's just me and very few others (whoever of the top 3 in the rankings who lost out) plus cements' manager who will get less credit for a deserved trophy which was extremely likely for him anyway. The rest of the people complaining in this thread really wouldn't have gained anything from Darkonza playing the game.

Unlike most people here, I was directly affected and I do have multiple reasons to participate (one obviously being that we find out we can all be subjected to random 'institutional' walkouts, with training screw up). As I said, I have absolutely no problem with Darkonza's decision, I'm happy for him that he got to convey his message in a powerful way, he immediately congratulated the winning manager, other than that I really don't care.

Disclaimer: now I will use a common argument used again and again by the naysayers who like shoot down anyone trying to talk honestly about the game.

The people who 'complain' about Darkonza's decision should stop 'whining'. After all, walk outs, games thrown etc. are 'part of the game' and when betting you 'should consider the possibility' of that happening. So if you bet on the wrong team, it's your problem, it was always possible for this to happen both by accident or on purpose. You should have considered that beforehand.

I love how stupid this sounds, but that's what some of us have to suffer continuously on forums and I relish the opportunity to stress how ridiculous this is.

The second case, Darkonza was the underdog and since he knew he'd lose he decided to make a point. But hey, I'll give back a piece of advice that some of you guys (GMs and naysayers) have thrown at me relentlessly: you have something to complain about you want to be changed (i.e preventing this from happening again)? The Suggestions forums will welcome you with open arms, don't miss the opportunity, that's where things get done! And if you're thinking of doing it for my sake, because I would have ended first or second in the supporter competition with a different result, I urge you to give up. I totally support Darkonza.

If this happened in real sports, no fans would show up for a long time. Maybe that should be the punishment...No fans for a season just like in Football when they make teams play in front of ZERO fans.

Also...I seriously doubt he would have thrown the game if he didn't have a free pass every season...maybe the free pass stuff should end,

For the same reason Gregg Popovich has been fined in the past when resting his players during a regular season game which was on TV, it kills the entertainment of one of the biggest game of the season in BB.

It is a way to show your opinion and maybe that is a good opinion and enthusiasm should be changed for the B3, but changing rules because of a walk-over during the B3 finals and no sanction would set quite a precedent.

well said

Wrong thread. The Suggestions forum is somewhere else. Or so they tell me every single time! How strange how things change when those same people are outraged at something else! No coherence, as suspected.

Anyway I digress. I totally agree that you should be punished by the fans for a no show or, even worse, for fielding a crappy team all season long (tanking), so if you open a thread to make changes about this, I will totally support it. As things stand, with the current rules and game mechanics, managers are not punished, there are no rules against tanking or tactical walkouts (to fiddle with the leagues standings, like dropping below another team while having better PD for example).

Besides there have been people complaining about the B3 Enth for as far back as I can remember and nothing, absolutely nothing has been done or said by the staff. Darkonza was one of those who complained because he has one of the toughest leagues in BB. There is no reason for B3 not to be treated like the NT competitions.

Also, you want to remove the free pass for champions, but should we talk about the money you get from B3 games? Is that fair and why?

I think it's better for you to consider punishing managers for losing games intentionally in national leagues which affect other managers' final standings. This guy did not make any harm to other users, just to himself and he doesn't deserve to be punished.

So you're actually on Darkonza's side and just disagree with the way he protested about it? Enth in B3 was raised multiple times both in Global AND in Suggestions if I remember correctly.

For what it's worth, I'm against removing GS from B3 altogether, but changing it to the NT system is a very clean solution. After all, it's always a bit down to luck, even at the NT level, but at least this would remove factors like different cup length, different strength of home leagues etc. Note that managers from smaller nations will still have an advantage as managing GS is easier in those leagues.
