I don't think we have the same definition of the 2008 and 2024 feel. You can still have a clean/oldschool looking 2024 feel, but with much better UI/UX that is easy to understand and navigate. Compare it to PC games being remastered, or indie games having an oldschool look but modern gameplay. In any case, it isn't the 2008 feel that makes BB a great game for me.

Hello and congratulations on your ownerships of BuzzerBeater. I’m BMX Evans I’ve been playing this game since season 6 and I hope long time mangers get something for playing and keeping their team for long period of time. I’m grateful for my franchises and for the game. I work a lot and to still have my team after all these years amazingly and surprisingly and in shock that am still playing but I really want and advocate for older users so they will know the game is thinking of them and haven’t forgot about them

Is the claim here that this change is neutral or positive for the user experience of the website? The use of an action color on the main navigation menu, linking to a page without interest for the day-to-day team management, is obviously a minor distraction to every interaction with the navigation menu, which can accumulate. Let's not start a discussion about the science behind action colors in web development.

To be clear, this is a 100% acceptable decision by the new owners. As a former supporter, I don't mind being reminded that somebody has to pay for the game to continue being free. It's just laughable that this is the first change implemented, given the concerns that have already been raised about modern game dev monetization techniques.
