I'm not exactly sure how your first statement makes any sense. A rice farmer in Thailand earns 300 dollars a year and he does an amazing job. A professional pitcher who goes 3-12 with an ERA of 5.87 still makes over 2 million a year. Doing something well and making a lot of money are not mutually inclusive.
I have no problem with the PR. I'm not fussed by the imperfections of the game. I enjoy the diversion. I know this isn't true for everyone, but I have better things on which to concentrate my concern. As a paying customer you are certainly entitled to question where your money is being spent.
