Pretty damn nasty division when a 7th place team will be 10-12 at worst.

Alright people, last game of the regular season!

Will Hoofhearted keep 2nd seed and HCA against a New Orleans team that has done surprisingly well in their first season in DII? Probably so seeings as they are going up against bot Lilburn and the Hurricanes are on the road against 4th seed indianapolis hawks, and the PD between #2 and #3 is far too great to overcome in 1 game, especially when #2 is playing a bot.

And on our side of things, kind of scary when the very last game will determine SO much in the standings.
Seeds 5-7 will be determined tonight, TOT hosting the top seeded McMornings, Albany hosting my team and NY on the road against the Freaks. ALSO in those 3 games will determine seeds #2 and 3.
Who will finish where come playoff time?
Lets have a fun night :-)

So, now that the matchups are set, I'm going to predict that Albany will beat Seaslugs and Wahoos will edge out Death Star (superior talent outweighing game shape deficiencies). Deronimo will make it out of the Big 8 to the finals fairly easily. The two best teams in the Great 8 (no offense, McMornings) meet in the first round, and I think HCA will be enough to give Nashville Freaks the win, with a subsequent road win setting up a Deronimo-Freaks showdown. I'll hold till the finals are set before predicting who will get promoted.

Well I predict the winner/promotee will be out of the great 8. I agree Deronimo will make it to the finals but I just don't think he has what it takes to take down our top teams.

And I feel deeply honored you included me in the 2 best teams category =)
Even though I don't necessarily agree but, I'll go along with it for now.

Well he did go 5-3 against your division with the 3 losses coming on the road. Home Court Advantage anyone?

HCA is big, but I just don't think McMornings is at that level yet. Also, that first game was against the other division, so he went 4-3 down the stretch within the division. Just not sold on them putting everything together this season.

Ohhh. In that case, I agree that Deronimo will have the edge. Not only due to HCA, but due to a clearer road to the finals. The question is whether or not anyone risks a Playoff Normal to gain an enthusiasm advantage in the finals. Deronimo seems to be the most likely to be able to take this chance.

Looking at the path each team has to take, in each of the three rounds, I'd say Deronimo is the favorite to promote at this point.

Yea Nashville thought you were talking about Meridian.

And those 3 losses came against our top teams. Had Nashville played his normal tactics and lineup, and Deronimo not had HCA then that game would've gone completely different I believe. I believe Nashville is by far the best team in the league.

And I'll reiterate what I said, I don't think Deronimo has the guns to take down our divisions' top teams. And our top teams are all in the playoffs, and one is going to the finals, which I believe any on of us 4 can beat him 2/3 games on the road.
