Yes, this is my take on doctors:

1) I don't think docs influence #1 - I think it is due to the random "hacking / aggressiveness" factor. You get hacked by one of those guys, you get hurt. I used to have a draftee who was magical in hurting other players. He even hurt an (Un) Lucky Fan.

2) I think a doc can reduce the injury (say a level 4 hack down to level 1 injury) immediately. If the injury goes to 0 then the guy is out of the game, but can play in the next game. Taping seems to be an independent chance of curing the injury during the game, regardless of doctor level.

3) Yes, a higher level doc helps heal faster. Not by much, but apparently it helps. However, even a day may help to get the guy back onto the court in time for one more game in that week.

Massage is always great. I've never tried Taping - I think I saw someone in the NBBA with it (maybe SB?)...

I do have a doctor with taping, it took effect in my one injury so far this season.

If you've had it prior to this season... in general how often do you think it works? (10% of the time? higher/lower?) Or for anyone else that has it, of your last 10 single game injuries what number of players re-entered the game?

The manual itself says there is only a "...small chance..." it will work. & Honestly don't remember it happening in any game I've ever watched. (Though who knows how many actually had that specialty). Really, none of the specialties are all that effective. So it would be strange if taping injuries was the lone exception. I mean if taping injuries had on average even a moderate success rate, everyone would have it by now? & if everyone had it, I'd have seen it work. (Of course that's faulty logic to an extent).

Yes. But what's interesting is that with taping injuries, staff level does matter indirectly. The only specialty you can say that for. Something that potentially seems broken / overlooked.

As you've noted, high level doctors can dramatically reduce injury lengths. Reducing many to single game only. Giving the specialty many more opportunities to work. Contrast that with trainer, where under no circumstances is a level 7 trainer any more likely to prevent a skill or stamina drop than a level 2 trainer is. Or PR manager. Where even if a level 7 PR manager increases attendance, the effect from crowd involvement on HCA is no better than in an empty arena.

That was actually the only time I can recall witnessing it working, but I've only had the specialty for around a season. Not extremely useful, but on the rare occasion it takes effect it can make a big difference.
