Well written Pete,

Will be an interesting end to season as even though WA has the upper hand at the moment there is still time for teams to bolster, WA inclusive.

I don't think Bains will have a problem locking in 6th either, think he has a picked his games where necessary :)

Thank guys. Just trying to get a little chit chat going and people more enthused. Hopefully this forum lights up again.

ATM in the Great 8 5th does seem the most tempting imo. However, if GC wins their first PO match at home, they should still make a profit incl conf final and may cause an upset even though, the breakers are fav to go all the way. Breakers will be praying that one of their starting 5 dont get injured, otherwise its good night.

I also wouldn't be surprised if JW beats WA to make the final. WA will need to dip into his millions and buy one or two if he wants to go up. Hopefully Doncaster and Red star screw up just enough to see me sneak into 4th and with that I become the giant killer and move into the ABBL :)

What a finish in tonight's game of the round. The Gladiators travelled to confront the Vikings after a string of wins on the home stretch. Despite being on the road against higher ranked opposition and potential playoff contenders the Gladiators made most of the running in the first period. The 16 point lead shocked the heavily favoured Vikings into gear who came out and cut the margin over the two middle periods. Heading into the 4th things were pretty much on par, however the momentum was firmly with the home side. The momentum continued to head away from the Gladiators as they began to look over-awed in front of the hone fans. With 1.02 on the clock the Vikings held a commanding 94-102. It took only 5 seconds for the visitors to get down the court and close the margin to 5. Only seconds late the lead was cut to within 2 points courtesy of back to back triples from the Gladiator guards. The vikings held firm at the line an kept their lead as time ran down. With 13 seconds left the Gladiators managed to finally tie it up after a missed FT attempt and some clutch shooting. The elation however was short-lived as Lopez shattered Gladiators dreams with a buzzerbeater for the win. Both managers should be happy with the result which showed their players could do the business down the streth under extreme pressure.

What the?? As exciting as that game would have been I am dumbfounded... Looking at the ratings it looks like my guys should've been light years ahead.. Hmmm, Bains you may have just killed my spirit, I am not sure whether a single addition would be enough for me to trully challenge this season anymore :(

Well played by your guys, even out of position with G-Adder in the middle.

Haha ezlife said the same thing when I showed him. He described my ratings as 'horribad'. After selling Izmailov I was forced to start Phillips at SF, so i essentially thought it was game over from the start. What also confuses me is my enth wasn't that great before the game, it was in your homecourt and G-Adder was out of position in average GS. It does give me great confidence for the future.

I wouldn't be too disheartened, you had a player or two in respectable GS, plus my team has always been competitive, the deep cup run has made it hard to win games. But on the way home I have beaten Meteors, Go Aussie and RED so far. And I would expect wins against Donkeys and Aussierulez aswell.

The only thing that disheartens me is I think you a re firmly in control of our rivalry :p
