Man who are you telling!!! like we say in coaching circles learning to lose close games is contagious and so is winning those games. Lets hope that finally winning 1 of the 4 really close games i've had gives us a little mojo. Not that i plan on making a real contending run, but lets be honest this season the RELEGATION series are going to be battles! you can't afford to lose that 30k in tv revenue unless you're selling 2-3 of you rmajor players and rebuilding and training to come back. Which is not in my rebuild plan. lol.... i actually am happy with my rebuild plan so far. But the blue side is mos def gonna be a side of point differential and ties!

PS nice win yourself brother

I didn't want to jinx things by saying anything beforehand, but I actually have a chance to win three meaningful games this week. I was between going all out to make sure of winning one, or giving myself in chance in each and risk going oh-for. But since I won the first, I figure I may as well try to win another one. If my starters don't like playing 120 minutes a week, they can tear up their contracts and go home.
I wonder how many more games I have to win 'fore I stop spending my sleepless nights tossing and turning, muttering "If it weren't for that f---ing loss at Space Von Jam..."

How am I in fifth place? The red division has 3 teams at 5-5 tied for 5th. Me and SVJ are tied with a 35 point differential. If we're deciding things alphabetically, the way I figure, S-P-A-C comes just very slightly before S-P-A-R. But I reckon I never were too much on no book learnin', least that's what muh pappy told me, 'fore he'd done been kilt down the mill.
Just for curiosity's sake, what would be the tiebreaker if two teams were tied on PD?

Alright, just as in soccer then. Thank you.
I'd prefer they used performance in the cup, since I've gone two and four extra rounds farther than my relegation rivals, with a home game tonight. I'm guessing without the enthusiasm edge, I'm probably a game back of those guys, points scored be danged.

And yeah, the injury team would probably be the best team in the league. 308k salary

I must say with a smile on my face that winning that cup game against Dia... both us played normal and he played his standard players (not a training lineup) gave me a little hope for what my team could be. We all know that my bench is horrible and i have played every game as TIE so far. I have made a conscious effort to not have to worry about relegation, but still get solid training in for a host of young post players who will pair with Tommy as he begins to age in 4 seasons. So far the fans aren't happy, but the organization's plan that was created 2 seasons ago after back to back finals losses has gone quite well.

What the fans did celebrate and have sent messages on social media about is WHY has management and the coaches not played the main 6 players 40+ mins every game and never play the bench. Clearly the cup game showed that IF Tommy, Gotz, Joe all play 48 mins with the 3 10k players getting the rest of the minutes this team can beat teams on the blue side.

The BEST scenario would be to make the playoffs (4 seed) with a record worst than the teams that finish 5th & 6th on the red side. Get playoff money but still get a top 5 or 6 pick in the draft! The fans see that as a true possibility and are excited about that and next season!

I just yesterday saw the probability of that horrible unfairness coming to pass. Last season, as soon as I clinched home court I pumped up my scouting from zero to $10k. I had it there til yesterday, when I came to the same gob-smacking revelation as you, only in reverse, that I could get relegated and still wind up with crappy draft picks. I've never figured out the optimal draft strategy anyway, and there's no way as a div III manager I'm going to lower myself to ask advice on the Help forums.
