This past week has seen a ridiculous surge in the number of active managers. Since the last economic update (if my memory from Monday serves me correctly), around 6,000 new users have joined, including more than 600 in the USA.

This can't be attributed just to the start of the NBA season, since the bump happened 2-3 weeks after the season started. Where did this growth come from, and where can we get more of it?

Same in Norway, we doubled up in October. Wonder how many will stay. We are trying to give a little welcome to new users, but we have no good system. Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe creating an application for android or Iphones will do the trick. It's not that hard to create, and it's an excellent way to upgrade this game for existing users and possible new users!

I have a few suggestions...
- Firstly, perhaps using the 'Partners' section below (is any site a 'partner'?), perhaps create a deal with some basketball sites/blogs? I'd do it with my site ((http://with-malice.com/)), and I think that there'd be some fantasy basketball sites that might jump at it as well (I could even put someone in touch with some from my network).
- Perhaps (maybe even with the aforementioned fantasy basketball sites!) an official interview about BuzzerBeater?
- What about creating an "official" blog? It'd be yet another way to get the word out there...

Doing the above might help optimize BuzzerBeater's SEO.

This is a very cool idea.

With the way smart phones and connection speeds are today, almost everything could fit into an app.
