i understand tanking but shouldnt u still be @ the salary floor training future stars?

Yes not having trainees and being below the floor is very odd, I can't see anything to be gained from this, when I conserved costs for a season i still trained players.

Meanwhile my last game sucked, I should have won if I hadn't lost my centre to injury and had set a starting small forward in my tactics, I need to remember to double check my tactics the day of the game.

i gotta say 3 games in this league is really surprising me & probably a lot of peeps

jw & smeltz @ the top is what we expected

but cccpba i thought was selling off their team, instead with a bit of luck they r 3-0

adam has had the opposite luck and is sitting 1-2 which noone expected

hax & cowboys i expected 2 be in the top 3 of their sides but both seem 2 be tanking or lost interest

gregc - i thought the players would be the best of the new teams but so far have had struggles

vis & wcs r both struggling as expected

ypb also still tanking but got a good buffer with hax totally shutting down

after smeltz its a nightmare in the great8 4 playoff worthy teams fighting 4 the other 3 spots

3 big games tomorrow

big8 1 v 2 with jw probably about 2 give cccpba their first d2 loss

great 8 1 v 5 with a chance for pwnage 2 put their money where their mouth is they said i was totally wrong about them for this season now they can proove it

big 8 3 v 4 with marmots taking on the goldfish could be a high scoring event

did any1 see the new vis arena expansion?

The arena is currently undergoing expansion, to add:

Bleachers: 2800
Lower Tier: 600
Courtside Seats: 150
Luxury Boxes: 0
The expansion will be complete in approximately 22 days
.

thats got to be around $1 million

his pitiful arena needed it but i guess that is him done 4 most of this season now unless cowboys is down 4 the count & saves him

1) Why in the world would I waste enthusiasm or player minutes to try and beat a team that I doubt very highly I could beat? With Reynolds still training i never intended to waste resources to match it with the top couple of sides, but built a list I can contend with next season when my trainees are good enough to play the roles I need.

2) I have a reasonable opponent in the cup this week so why would I not save my starters for that game?

3) To date I have played 3 of the top 4 placed teams without my most important player (especially for the game I lost) and I am 2-1. Unlike the teams above me, I am yet to take advantage of the tanking sides...

I'm still well on track to have a good finish. Without my best player I am yet to fail expectation. With him I would be 3-0 but I'm not concerned in having adequate coverage for that scenario unless I'm contending for the championship (which I already stated I am not)... I should only lose 1 more game before the big 8 games so im still a good shout for second based on my current results, injuries permitting.

$1.28 mill, to be precise. So he has about 100K left over from his recent transfers out, plus his promotion bonus - so he'll still have some cash in the kitty, I think, unless he's spent a lot on new staff members.
