For myself......I don't mind the bad language or the funny smack talk in the chat. I even like talks about suggestions that could be good/bad for the game. What I do mind is the bragging about reporting certain teams and now they are now banned, the finger pointing about who is cheating and who is a farm team. I also hate the "The BBs or the GMs hacked my game",(sometimes it is amusing). And I do feel that these things being said in the chat will keep people from using the chat.
I seriously doubt that these people can't log into chat. They are making excuses in my opinion.
EX..I had an aunt who made the worst tasting oatmeal cookies, so when she offered me some, I would lie and say I was allergic to raisens even know I wasn't. It was about being POLITE...Just like the chat....Nobody wants to say that I don't want to go into the chat because a certain member in there that they don't like. They would rather say that CHAT doesn't work on their computer.

I remember back in the day, PukaPuka who never came in the chat, decided to come in during a Cup semi-final.(I still feel bad because I sent him the message saying that it would be fun) He was playing Sharman, and we all had a gentlemans agreement back then to not check the cup glitch. Well, Sharman comes into the chat and starts talking junk to puka Puka about how he will enjoy spending the 125K even though the game wasn't over yet. Well, that was the last time PukaPuka ever came into the chat. I bet if someone had asked him the next day to come into the chat, he probably would have said the chat doesn't work anymore.....

Wolph, I think the issue is - and please don't take this the wrong way - is that there's quite a gap between the way you self-moderate here, and the way you are in chat...
I've found some of the things you've said in chat to be quite shocking (like... claiming you're the reason that Yoks got banned, amongst... umm... *other things*).

Nice theory and all,but if I ever talked to them in chat, I didn't know it was them. That is all I will say on that point!!!

I never said anything about you. I was speaking my mind on what I think should be allowed in chat. In fact my massage was to GM-Perpete.
And most of the time, when the chat starts to steer of in those areas I was talking about, I usually say I have to walk my dog or eat dinner. And, if I were a new manager and saw some of the verbal battles you have in the forums, I would probably stay FAR away as I could from the chat if I knew you or another wild manager were going to be in there.

because I am here to win, not be your friend. My approach to BB is the same way. I don't care if you like me or not. All I care about is winning. Not trying to ruin anyone's day. If you don't think it's fun, don't play.
