abigfishy raises.

Is anyone going to call or go all in?

Not all in for me. On the buying side, have had a few players pop up for sale in my bookmarks, but out of my range atm.

Fishy and BLS bought up b4 training update and were able to train gs which would have helped this situation. I'm guessing that those two are favs at going through to the final atm.

I think I have a better team on paper than Dire, but then again it is Dire. He and mllama are the best players Australia has ever had so I have no doubt that he can out manage me.

I was just going buy the fact that they bought a good player, and your team has an injured starter.

It is crunch time, and with no HCA to either team, and not knowing what each manager is thinking, its a tough as it gets.

We could potentially end up playing off for an unofficial 3rd place in cup during our PL match whilst, trying to make it to the fishbowl final.

or

It could also be a cup preview

or neither

either way, its the semis, and anything can happen. So good luck too all.

Top 8 for Springvale Shaquilles was big time baby! Not bad for a team with 2 x age 21 guards (100% trained by me) 2 x 100k bigs (100% trained by me) & a bunch of age 34+ stiffs I picked up for peanuts.

2 Tough hard fought semis in the cup tonight but after Isaak fouled out for Yoda things got Dire for him and in the other game the Bears werent able to catch the Fish.

Final next week sees Dire confront the Fish.

Come the pressure of a Cup final, will the underdog be a fish out of water?

or

Will the minnow get to drink some Black Label out of the Cup?

I was on a great run and was getting very close, just three points down late in the 3rd when Issac decides to be a total idiot and foul out. Well done Dire. Looks like Petevas' loss has prompted a sale and wow one of his players is amazing!

Wow Marek Liska (10942461) really is amazing.

What a unique build.

Liska is a great player, the fact that he is ranked the 919th best player in the world proves this.

To put it into perspective how great a player Liska is, Riviera is currently ranked the 268th best player in the world

Even Issac ranks better but I still think Marek is amazing. Kind of like my Sprebert who was missing tonight out injured but who is a total freak far better than his ratings suggest. For example this season he easily led the Fishbowl West in scoring with a 30.8 average 6 points above the second best. Without him and then Issac fouling out I just couldn't score enough against Dire.

One other X factor in tonights game, Dires SG was a $64k PG who was being guarded by $122k Kumar who is a ridiculously amazing defender, yet he hit 7/12 FGs rather an incredible feat for any outside player in a LI offence let alone a low salary PG playing SG being manned by one of the best defenders in Australia.

Dire's offensive flow was horrible, his outside scoring was pathetic (mine too) while me outside defence was very strong yet Barber who should have been taking really bad shots all night and going 2/11 like Barton my PG did. Instead both Barber and Dire's PG a $47k 34 year old who also should have been totally shut down both hit at least 50% of their shots. They are both shooting around 40% for the season against much much worse defence on average but tonight they decided to both defy the stats, the probabilities and all logic and have amazing shooting nights.

I guess that is basketball!

Great analysis.

Maybe Dire still has some residual usage rights of the GM button

That bastid, I knew it. dire kept the real button to himself and handed down a fake one to me and monkeybiz.

For that, I hope fishy beats him in the cup final.

Just like Issac, I had Bond leave the game in the 3rd, but due to injury. Either way, we will never know what would've happend in the end, however, I may not have been much difference.

Liska was going to go no matter what, either after cup, or of season. Seems now is a better option for my team. Now time to focus on rebuilding for plaoffs or next season.

Well done to the fish and dire. Wish both you guys all of the best in the cup final.
