Anybody looking to throw down a few mil for a US NT SF? I'm guessing not, but both of our primary SFs for the NT are on sale.

Bill Weeks (11772141), owned by Wahoowa who is quitting BB. He said he isn't looking to make money, just wants to keep him in America if possible, so contact him if you are interested.

Irwin Velasco is on sale right now for 3.6m. I cant link you to him directly, but just check the US NT roster page.

Other than that, another one of our 300k NT bigs, Lorenzo Bland, is on sale for 600k. Also on NT roster page.

Hubert Douglas' (14600164) owner is looking to sell as well, could be a NT player with some training.

wow, just noticed my cup opponent played 3 starters 110 min last week... & all 3 are still in strong GS!?!

just in general, can a team get away with doing that once or twice a season without much harm to GS? I'd think it's a fluke if only 1 guy, but all 3... wondering if my assumptions about GS have been wrong?

i still remember when i kept my best player under 60 min. the *entire* season. & even trained GS going into the playoffs to guard against BB screwing me over.... The result: you guessed it, respectable GS...!! -_-

I can't speak to the 110 guy, but I've found that (with a massage doc), the sweet spots w/o training GS are 72-80 minutes for most of my players. I think the general consensus of 48-60 minutes that you find in generals is wrong, and that most players "need" 66-72 minutes in a typical week, and that a massage doc lets you exceed the 72 minutes by 4-8 minutes. Some players on my team can even routinely handle 85-90 minutes with the massage doc (though some *cough*Parsons*cough* don't like that many minutes).

I agree this you in that I think the 48-52 (maybe a little higher but in that range) seems lite for some players. I have always wondered if there was a stamina factor as well as playing time the previous week....

From my experience game shape is influenced by the players' minutes from multiple weeks. Also, I'm pretty sure the minutes from a previous season can affect game shape in a current season, which makes the game shape reset somewhat misleading. In the final week of a season I played someone like 140 minutes and in the following season their GS didn't pop until almost the all-star break, despite getting the same minutes as players who had reached proficient GS several weeks earlier and sustained it.

I must agree that I have had some weird things after the GS "reset," so I tend to agree with you there.

(oops, thought this was the S18 thread. -1 ball for carelessness)

thanks for the replies everyone.

when i trained GS in past seasons, i remember multiple players in the 65-75 min range actually *dropping* in GS!! yes, you read that right. many times 2 or 3 players per GS training dropped! (not always the same guys btw). that's why i was initially *stunned* that not just 1, but all 3 of his players w/ 110 min have strong GS. never paid attention to what happens for just a one-off 3 game week though, so thought i'd ask.

will have to go back & find my data from training GS sometime. not exaggerating -- a few times the results had even been almost worse than expected had i *not* trained GS. well outside of a few scrubs in the 30-40 min range i didn't care about. (got boosted to proficient) and someone around 90 minutes that only dropped 1 level instead of the possible 2 levels otherwise.
