Yeah. I'm not thrilled about that, at all. I had five straight bots last season, so I can't complain too much, but my CUP draw has sucked this season.

let us see who else is pleased with their Cup draw, shall we?

NBBA

DII
Flash Mashers at ATL the Hawks

DIII
Ducksnorts at Ron Swanson
Cal Bulldogs at Footpath Leapers
Valhalla at Buffalo Tigers
Bananahorns at Thunder Gods
NeoBulls at the King and I

DIV
Rdkin at Decatur Rockets
Tucumari at BigDawgs
Window Lickers at Price Maulers

DV and bot
Visionaries at Southport Pacers

two observations --
Valhalla is showing this "coaching" stuff is overrated -- just set the lineup and let 'er ride and
Visionaries drawing a DV team at this point is like giving a tax break to Bill Gates -- the rich just get richer

i guess i am surprised by how many easy draws there are in the sixth week. best of luck to one and all. and i will return to trying to schedule a scrimmage, again . . .

i think it is possible i have conceded this year's crown to Visionaries a bit prematurely . . . i am pretty sure Lucas Ray would say i had --

Kentucky has got a dynamite team. Tanner at SF is unbelievable -- it is my rule of thumb that someone getting game ratings in the lower teens at that position is a very good player, and his ratings are on the other side of 15. i can see how he could be on the USA NT. the fact that he is a drafted talent for UK as well means his merchandising contribution probably covers a good bit of his salary.

and the four players who start with him are as good as any in this league. if UK has a weakness, it is depth, because after 5 players there is a drop, and after seven . . . let us just say the last five on the bench will never contribute meaningfully at this level. with the league's highest salary level and an unfortunate early exit from the Cup, i don't know where Lucas gets the money to deepen the squad. but those starters . . .

anyway, tonight he goes to 10 - 1.

BBSPN Game Updates #1

Great 8 #1 Visionaries (10-0) @ Big 8 #3 ATL The Hawks (7-3). Visionaries keep their undefeated season rolling tonight with a 37 point victory.
FINAL SCORE 98-61, Visionaries
VIS Grzegorz Macioszczyk - 28 pnts, 12 rebs
ATL Paweł Bieś - 11 mins 14 pnts, 3 rebs, 7-11 FG

Great 8 #8 Valhalla! (1-9) @ Big 8 #6 Footpath Leapers (3-7). Valhalla! continues their D.III tenure with another 20+ point loss tonight. Right now they are set to have the #2 draft pick in the upcoming draft. Will they be able to get a superstar and turn their franchise around? We interviewed Valhalla!'s assistant coach for an answer to this question. "Probably not." Well alrighty then.
FINAL SCORE 72-52, Footpath Leapers
FOO Peter Kúkol - 16 pnts, 15 rebs, 3 asts
VAL Bobby Radford - 19 pnts, 17 rebs

Great 8 #3 Eugene Register-Guard (6-4) @ Big 8 #1 Kentucky Wildcats (9-1). This game kept fans in Rupp Arena on the edge of their seats as it went into overtime. But Kentucky's defense (lead by Tanner and Anaya combining for 7 blocks, 6 steals) and a few free throws eventually sealed the deal.
FINAL SCORE 108-101, Kentucky Wildcats
UK Harry Jeffries, Odell Rushing, Frank Tanner combine for 80 pnts
EUG Wayne Early - 22 pnts, 7 asts

Great 8 #6 Thunder Gods (4-6) @ Big 8 #2 Flash Mashers (8-2). The Flash Mashers get upset tonight, and this makes the gap between Big 8's 1 seed and 2 seed that much wider.
FINAL SCORE 89-76, Thunder Gods
THU Kristupas Gelažanskas - 20 pnts, 11 rebs, 4 asts
FM Doruk Tasçi - 16 pnts, 8 rebs, 6 asts, 4 stls

Great 8 #5 The King and I (5-5) @ Big 8 #8 Jr. Jazz All-Stars (0-10). Jr. Jazz All-Stars got demolished with a 23 point loss, and at this point hold the #1 overall draft pick. Will they be able to get a future superstar to help turn their franchise around? We asked the Valhalla!'s assistant coach. "Probably. I want to take my talents to south...Jr. Jazz. At least their manager logs on!"
FINAL SCORE 105-82, The King and I
TKI Fred Hamby - 15 pnts, 17 rebs, 7 asts
JRJ Jean-Charles Girardin - 20 pnts, 8 asts

Great 8 #2 Window Lickers (7-3) @ Big 8 #5 Ron Swanson All-Stars (4-6). The other "All-Stars" of the league, however, get an easy 14 point win over the Window Lickers. I guess having their team initials being "WIN" wasn't enough to get it done tonight.
FINAL SCORE 93-79, Ron Swanson All-Stars
RON Óscar Borrego - 25 pnts, 11 rebs, 4 asts
WIN Aldo Angelo Demartini - 26 pnts, 13 rebs, 8-8 FT

Great 8 #4 Tucumcari Whalers (6-4) @ Big 8 #7 black wall street (2-8). Tucumcari gets an expected win here, but what a performance from Jason Koenig of black wall street. Tied for the most points scored for any player in the league tonight with Kentucky's Harry Jeffries (31).
FINAL SCORE 100-74, Tucumcari Whalers
TUC Luca Bliffi - 27 pnts, 13 rebs
BWS Jason Koenig - 31 pnts, 12 rebs

Great 8 #7 Bad Blue Boys (2-8) @ Big 8 #4 Rdkin (6-4). Bad Blue Boys gets a huge upset win. Three of the top four seeds in the Big 8 lost tonight, including Rdkin.
FINAL SCORE 102-95, Bad Blue Boys
BBB Daniil Ippolitov - 23 pnts, 5-8 3 pt FG
RDK Moreno Igliozzi - 28 pnts, 11 rebs

Yeah... I tried to shoot it too closely, rested four starters and I was off by a few points. Should've left Bart in there and just taken the GS hit.

Nice writeups,
I need to pay more attention about setting my Saturday lineups, I might start missing some of this enthusiasm...

Well shiz... My C got foul trouble and couldn't play most of the game, add that to HCA and I came up short... Good game ATL, I am actually impressed. I thought I had that one in the bag.

I was pretty sure you had that won after my C fouled out a minute into the 4th and was replaced by my 6k backup guard.

That is a weird looking game. I guess I took an injury in the first couple minutes? And the pp100s hardly match up at all. And somehow you only had 6 turnovers for the whole game? I don't feel like that's a very indicative result for either of us haha

This weekly task is taking less time. An interesting week for the Cup -- possibility of two games this week.

NBBA

DII
Bloody Eagles at The King and I
Irvine Anteaters at Tucumcari Whalers

DIII
ATL The Hawks at Bananahorns
Rdkin at Skinny Dudes
Sungrazers at Ron Swanson
Shooter Tutors at Window Lickers

DIV
The Balrogs at Footpath Leapers
Visionaries at Meski Letena

DV and bots

I would guess that four or more teams from DII could be playing on Thursday. Good luck to one and all.
