Looks like Pheonix 5 managed to finally offload Radford and for $ 1 021 000. Now we will get to see if Andy Bogut has anything left in the tank, this should free him up to start making changes.

Yes that massive payday is equal to two weks of Radford's salary that he paid while Radford led him to his awesome 0-4 record. He looks in real trouble to me. He has two great Cs, a solid SF and a 13k sf is his only other player above 10k in wages. He will need to pull something out or it will be ABBL to division III in two seasons.

I got beaten in the cup tonight by a guy with who played all his starters against me who were already at mediocre-average GS, he burnt his enthusiasm and the game was at his arena. I played 0 starters and he won by 4. Such is life, a pity about the 4 day rule, I have a few guys I can sell again now, what a disaster.

Surely he had more money in the bank saved up in preparation for the losses that were to come. Now that Radford is gone, I think he'll be able to afford to purchase in some lower salary players to fill the holes. I can't see P5 being in the red, especially after receiving $1mil, he's probably got a couple of mil up his sleeve.

pretty small pay day when you look at the wages that guy RR was costing him though.

Perhaps I can buy up better and quicker and sneak over the top?

I have overstretched my players to the max, not looking forward to training tonight... 115+ minutes is not a good thing.

by selling sapsay and buying another young trainee, does that mean you wont be gunning for promotion this season ?

Spot on Sas. Decided that my chances this year were likely slim at best. Sapsay had a $130k salary as is and i'm training bigs this season, his salary would have been far too much for me to handle coming in to next season (and knowing I won't promote). Decided it's better for me to get a worthy C trainee who will fit the training resume and be ready to go next season. I'm also now making a $200k+ profit per week along with a ton of cash in the bank already.

I've seen what buying a team can get you in the ABBL and I don't really want that same thing. Rather develop my team and try to get the timing right. My big trainees should be far more competitive next season and I should have enough cash to buy the players i'm lacking.

Good luck to Haggards, Sas and Downboys. It's a three horse race from this side of the fence now. ;-)
