Good to see my guys perform so well in a playoff type atmosphere.

15 mil, for real? Damn

Exaggerating a bit, but it could easily happen before the deadline. Well into 10 figures, though. Being the appearent center training farm team for Stella Rossa Japigia pays pretty well

BTW - In case anyone forgets, Saturday the 26th is the "17th annual Boston - Chicago Crunch time day". This is long a tradition in these respective cities so make sure all Chicago based teams that play against Boston based teams (and vice versa) set your lineups accordingly. Don't disgrace those men that have come before you by "taking it easy". Make sure you go all out. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe I've read the BB's state something about banning and/or fining all teams that don't follow this well established tradition.

Sigh. I guess this means that I get to stop trying to use my meager savings to add a power forward for the playoffs and wait until (maybe) the prices calm down a bit.

Don't count yourself out of this yet. I lose and you win on Saturday and the Vipers could be sitting this postseason out.

Not that I want that to happen of course. Just sayin'

Holy shite. HE was at 5.5 with an hour to go as well. I remember him being pretty awesome though.

Not awesome enough to do anything against my guards, but pretty awesome.

Seeing as I had to outbid the entire country of Chile in the end, I would say it nearly was. The guy kept having his friends bid for his own players at the last second to get the money

But, at least I made guard trainers around the world very happy.

Yeah, Mr. Dhoff there put a bid in sometime around then and I had to answer him. After that it was kind of a blur.

He's much more awesome then those chumps on your roster and can't wait to play the Bulls. He's going to put Conte over his knee and spank him. Then when the game starts, he's going to defend him very well

Conte's got Sensational outside defense, so I think he'll be the one doing the spanking.

I dealt with something like that last year. I was pretty annoyed. If there were improper transfers going on, I'd suggest reporting it if you haven't already.

I think I bid around $5.4M or so. Then, all of a sudden the bid was over $8M, at which point I went back to sleep.

edit: Crappy formatting.

(40032) That's the team that wanted to buy . It's kind of a bit of a story (several e-mails involved) and I can give some full details later tonight if anyone is interested.

You can tell by the date that he put the players up last night during the bidding. One of the bidders was the guy I bought Depetris from. Needless to say, he put bids back on his own players. I don't know if sending money like that is illegal, but they were all Chilean teams buying Juan XXIII's players. It definately inflated the price by several million. If that was illegal, maybe I can get some of my money back.

I kind of feel like a jerk now since they wanted to keep their guy to train, but he WAS listed on the TL, so...
