We are of course always going to do our best to handle incomplete lineups in as best a manner as we can, and it looks like for some incomplete lineups bad things happened on Saturday. It's a priority to fix that for Tuesday, and it will get done. However, I'd like to be completely clear on the following, so I'm going to put it in bold. The goal of our game engine design is to put together a well-balanced game engine for teams that submit complete lineups. If you choose to submit an incomplete lineup or an incomplete set of tactics, then you are not using the game engine as designed, and some things might not work as well as they would for a full team. As we continue to make the coaching AI more and more useful and allow an increasing number of tactical adjustments to be made by our users, it will be increasingly the case that the coaching AI is optimized for complete lineups. It is always a mistake as a GM for you to submit an incomplete lineup rather than a complete one.If you still would like to submit only, say, 4 players, we will not stop you from submitting those tactics. However, it is never going to be a top priority for us to make sure that incomplete lineups work well, and we would always prefer to balance the game engine so that complete lineups are ideal. This bug still sounds like one that needs fixing, and we are going to fix it before Tuesday. However, I would not recommend, now or in the future, submitting an incomplete lineup for a competitive game.Edited 10/7/2007 11:15:50 PM by BB-Charles
