I want to point to what yodabig had point out here, which points exactly to what I'm repeatedly saying:
I have spent $20,000 a week since season 10 and while I have drafted some insane players to sell, I have never drafted one like that for me to train.

The higher divisions' teams DOES NOT train their draft players.
It is interesting for the BB managers to take a look at the amount of money the first divisions teams even invest at scouting.

And again I will quote what another user wrote in a different thread here -
there are a lot of teams (that had been in this game for the first seasons) who are intentinaly tanking their way to the lower leagues in order of experiencing real training
.
This is (BTW) why on some of the first divisions there are few teams that are not from the first 4 seasons.

A decent (not great, decent is enough) manager who had started at those seasons, did not retired, and enjoys not realy playing BB managing (as they are not realy train) will just keep be part of the first division.

And as proven at least one quoarter of the users (who are part of the France, Spanish or Italian leagues) are in a league where only teams that had joined not later than the forth season!!!
Reminder - we are starting the 18 season!!
And of course I did not checked all nations, and did not checked what have happened to all those teams who had started at those first seasons - did they left the game, decided to tank or where realy bad BB managers.

So, a real cahnge is needed. One of them is in the draft.
1) Drafting a player with higher (average DMI) to higher divisions.
2) First round draft players will have a secure contract (cannot be sold or fired) on their first seasons.

We were over this once before. You have drafted something great earlier aswell.

Yes I have said multiple times that I have drafted some great players, but great to sell but not great to for me to train.

It's like drafting D.Rose and selling/trading him for S.Nash, because you want a veteran backcourt, while training Noah and Boozer.

Your argument makes no sense at all. A better analogy is that you already have D. Rose and Wall on your team and then when you draft Dwight Howard you should just get rid of Rose and Wall just because the draft randomly gave you a big man.You should abandon the seasons of training you have already put in to your guards, sell them, so that you can now train the big man you drafted. And oh yeah, now that you will have to be training big men you will have to sell your old big men as that will become your training position. And then you will also have to buy two more big man trainees.

So you are suggesting that just because you draft a big man you should abandon your current trainees who you put seasons into. Sell them. Buy new guards. Also sell your big men. Then buy new big men that can be trained. This is what you are telling me I should have done? Seriously? Not kidding right? This is what you would do? And you ask me

Why is this so hard for you?

I already had two guards I was very happy training and just thought that it should be possible at some stage to draft a third. Silly me.

So perhaps if we can now get away from the ad hominem agruments you can give me one reason why it is good for the game for 90% of the players drafted by good teams to be fired within a few days while as I have shown NBA teams keep a lot of theirs.

I totally agree. I am not asking for an increase in the numbers of 7k draftees or HoF potential players at all. All I am asking is that the players that you draft not constantly be $2k role players.

in begin we was happy about then, since nearly all player recruited their trainee from the initial created player and one draft. There we start training 3k 21yo guys(and salarys was higher then). I eman in raising the quality of the drafted players, you just raise the expection you have on your trainee, since only the top X% get trained since there ain't enough training spot for everybody and player get trained to mid 20 to reach their targets.

Manon:
I think that ever comparing anything in BB with NBA is just
I guess you mean that it doesn't suite your target, and hence needs to move this arrow to your target...

This game is BB managing, and drafting, training etc. is the core of BB managing.
And no, "training" a 25 YO player is not training...

And as we saw, there are some honest users that just don't like this status.

fine that everybody disagreweing with you is honest, and everybody else is just targeting for their own advantage ... I really don't like your arguing, and not only since it is so often based on fanasy facts.

You have mentioned Shooting and... Michael Jordan, in two different arguments.Michael Jordan, in two different arguments.
Unluckily combining them both your arguments turn into... VOID.

really MJ didn't can find a basket with it shoot, and then get and superior shooter. lets say he started with Average/average and ended up with legendary/marvelous?

The difference here is really pretty small, and happens often when the players are above 25 where training isn't training anymore.0 and are more adjustment to their body ;)Maybe like skill system in Nba 2kXX where you could remove x point from speed and put it on 3 pt shooting.

The difference between his shooting ability at the start of his career to that at his last seasons where anormous.

The same goes for the ability of most of the NBA players - they got significantly better from their first days.

You are getting a player in collegue age. You need to expect of having him less mature in his skills.

And again I will quote those who said that there are not few users who get bored with current limited competitiviness of old teams, where all the flavout of BB managing gets just void, and due to that left the game or moved to lower leagues just to re-experience real BB-managing allover again.
This is what realy summarizes this topic.
