is it my problem alone?

the only reason im at haste or really driven is because i felt it could affect the community that we have.

especially at a time wherein they are promoting for us to invite people.

but i get your point, there are things even if it would affect the game still just keep on posting.

in this kind of magnitude you call it spamming, wow if it something like its a personal thing or asking questions or probably anything that just ordinary and you keep hitting it up ill probably say it would be spamming

you heard it people, just keep on posting. .. . oh isnt it the point of the person who started the post its because he feels there isnt much response going on

It is very difficult for me to reply to the large number of questions I get about the game via BB-mail, especially because some of them are not in English. If you post on the forums, you will get a reply there from one of our wonderful GMs. However, if you BB-mail me, I am now getting so many of them (around 75 in the last day!) that I can no longer answer all of them myself, so you might not get a reply.

As I was reading the discussion I noticed you got replies to your posts, telling users how to behave, and especially NOT follow your advice.
I also noticed you didn't get any real good explanation except the rules.

Well, honesty tells me the GMs (especially oeuf, but also Juice in lesser extend), although very correct, failed to bring the message in a propper way.

so for what it's worth, I will try to make clear to you, what they where trying to do...

NOT following your advise, was a little, well,... much overcalled. You did give a lot of good advise in your post, and I can clearly see you meant it in a positve way and wanted to help the game as well as the community. This is something we (GMs) all value, yes also oeuf and juice. Yet, they semed to have forgotten the gros of your post by reading just 1 line, which highlighted and alerted their brains with more then 2 giga decibells.

So I'd say to everyone, DO foolow Shoei's advice, except for 1 thing, do not mail the BBs.

Now, since you didn't get a reasonable explanation why yet, I'll give it at once.
The BBs ask this themselves, and that has to have a reason, and it has.
Since they are already reading some forums entirely, among which the bugs forum, having to read a mail which says the same would given them double work, which cost time, while it has no added value, since they will already read it.
They might read it at a diffrent time, they MIGHT read the mail first, then the bug forum, but it might just be the other way around.
Even though you feel you where helped by your mail, I personnaly don't believe (what you claim) that otherwise the bug wouldn't be fixed.
What I do believe is that by having to read extra posts and mails about the same, they can read about and solve less bugs, which otherwise they would have time for reading about and solving...
So THAT is why oeuf jumped on your post. Just to prevent BBs from having to spend more time on reading and less on solving.

I wrote this for the entire community and am sure everyone reading this will understand, and sees the truth in it. It all comes down to faith. Faith in the fact BB do read the forums and do not lie about it. If we loose faith, we will loose BB.

As I have made the same mistake as Juice and oeuf more then just a few times, I understand their reactions fully well, and hope you can understand too. Just like you they mean the best for the game.
In their minds they saw 1000 mails comming in the BBs mailboxes every day and just went berserk trying to predict the impact.

I hope I made a little more clear why it is realy bad to mail the BBs. And the main reason is not because it is against the rules.

PS: hope Charles didn't read this all, he should have read 2 bug reports instead! ;þ

I know you meant that, and oeuf meant exactly that too. And maybe a lot of other people know that as well, yet, it was not written that way, and therefor my post.

I realise it's ant-milking. But I thought it was important enough to mention.

Written messages often are wrongly read/understood. Unfortunatly we can't avoid that.
