in LN a team kept aa roster os 5 players and he only trained GS,and as I could see he kept his players with a good GS

he only played the 2 league games per week

so I think GS training boosts a bit the shape when your minutes are 80 or more

by "good GS", what sort of levels do you mean? Respectable? Strong?

well, consider respectable to be the default -- it is at the beginning of the season.. that is sort of a minimum; you could substitute "Minimally acceptable". I consider strong for all my players (one reason I keep a small squad) to be my goal / standard of success. Proficient I understand is the cap. I have found keeping my best players in proficient/strong shape a real challenge, because if they play 40+ minutes twice a week that is crossing into a danger zone.

Oh i understand what is generally considered "good gameshape" for most people but i just wanted to get clarification on GC30's specific response.

and yes, proficient is the maximum for game shape.

If I remember correctly he kept his GS on strong and sometimes proficient but I did not follow all his weeks,so I think the training compensates the lost os shape from the 80 or more minutes and gives an up though it maybe little

but one thing is to train one week other is to train the entire season, but for decisive matches I think its valid

I would want confirmation by people that trained one week only, but the problem is the random factor so its always a tough decision

good luck either way, hope i helped, sorry about my english

well it depends on the player, and how good/old they are. If you have a young kid who trains well he may experience a pop and a bit, but if you have an old player that doesnt train well he may just go down.

Can I challenge this quote or at least ask how on earth you arrived at this conclusion?!

give him a chanche, maybe he tells sometimes bullshit but i am happy when people try to help and participate - and if its wrong there are enough players here to correct him which helps him and also the threadstarter.

Well then, let me ask a follow-up question.
It has occured to me that it might be beneficial to get a headstart into the new season by training game shape right after the reset. It has be mentioned that GS-training very much behaves like Stamina-training. That would mean my entire roster will get one pop (maybe one or two without a pop). So here the question:
Does training Game Shape behave like training Stamina, or does it behave any other way?

I have never trained GS before so I am really in the dark Any conclusive evidence appreciated.

Cheers, Exos
