Once the player is injured, if you buy a doctor after that, the healing time will be shortened, but only by a very very very small amount.

I have never heard this before. I've been operating under the assumption (based on what the BBs have said in the past) that changing doctors after an injury will have no effect what-so-ever on healing time.

I said the top part.
Chris902 said the bottom part.

So I was trying to explain to Chris902 that there is an effect if you change doctors after the injury. He thought there wasn't.

Edit: I think you may have misread my posts, or mistaken me for someone else. I answered the original posters question (and when I answered it I mentioned that doctors heal players after the injury has taken place and is quicker for higher level doctors), and then chris902 asked me about it as he thought doctors made NO difference. No one ever said there was a huge difference, but he thought there was no difference, and I was just clarifying the point that there is a healing effect, just a small one though.

Rather than just rating the post as 1 ball do you mind telling me why?
Cheers

Yeah. That explains it, if that was your quote, because I just couldn't understand what the whole argument was about. Basically, the level of the doctor is taken into effect when the length of the injury is initially determined and later during the recovery. But the effect is much grater initially, so the value of the doctor after the injury occurred is less significant. But, even if the difference is just 1 day it could be important.

how is any of this logical

if i am off playing basketball and i injure myself and see the arena medic on the day but then my team hires a world renouned specialist to treat me shouldnt that have a big impact

what you do in the first few minutes is important but way less than the treatment you recieve for the next few weeks

i have sprained my ankle maybe 50 times, torn muscles, broken bones, ripped cartledge etc and in every case seeing a high level doctor and getting good treatment the next day was more important than whoever helped me first

Doctors would be really pointless, if you should only buy one if your players get injured.
Perhaps it helps for you to take it this way. The difference of having lvl1 doc and lvl7 doc is the fact that, when a problem occures lvl1 doc can't notice it from the start. You might have stress fracture etc. He still let's your player play. Thus eventually creating a problem that lasts for 4 weeks to cure. No matter what you do at that point, the damage has been done already. With lvl7 doctor he finds the problem, before it happens, thus cureing it between gamedays.
In online games, using your imagination can do wonders for you :D

Not too sure about influence during rehabilitation...

But nice to see you play BB since season 2 and keep going.

Doctors do only help a “little little” bit anyway right? I’ve always viewed it as kind of an extra cash bleed, like limiting the cash teams can carry, or penalizing teams for saving too much cash. It’s one of those things that help and give you a little piece of mind if you are training for U21, and need every training minute that you can get for those $3 million dollar 18 year old you purchased, or were lucky enough to draft. I’ve noticed that on a 7 day injury, the low level docs may cut it by a day, and higher level docs may cut it by 2. On 14 day injuries, you may get double that, or you may not see much change at all. Other times they come into play is high divisions, where you really hate to lose a player for 14 or 21 days, as you are paying $150-300k a week for one player. It handcuffs you on salary, and you feel as though you are wasting tons of cash by paying out $900k in 3 weeks, and the guy doesn’t play a single game. You can list him, but guys injured for 2-3 weeks don’t bring you half as much as healthy guys will, because someone else doesn’t want to pay those wasted salary weeks either. All in all, I still think it is mostly a cash bleed, that can help a little, or a lot, if you can afford it, and are really comfy financially. Also, if you have the money you need to spend anyway, there are worse ways to do so. It’s better than guys like me, who buy a player for a million on impulse, then sell him a couple of weeks later for $800k losses. You think I would learn after a million seasons of playing. 🤣
