It is a little bit awkward to handle...very difficult to find the topics I was looking for when I first started playing...

As a relatively new user I agree with this. I've found this forum to be pretty annoying to use and don't bother to take the time to navigate it unless I have a specific need. I'm sure it would be very difficult for the management to convert an established forum to a different layout, but I would suspect that it would get a lot more use if it was changed to a friendlier format such as phpbb or punbb.
