They just keep holding elections until someone wins. Last season when there were 40 new countries, I think some BB-s took over for a few countries at least temporarily because no one had voted, and the qualification was starting.

If you look at a lot of countries, they were decided by 1-1 votes or 1-0 votes. I'm not sure of the tie-breaker, but a 1-1 vote will have a winner, while a 0-0 vote will have a new-election.

IIRC, you can register after the election starts. Last season, you could only see the list of registered candidates if you were from that country. So an outsider could run for NT manager, but might not know who else was running, unless he participated in the national conference and someone told him.

I saw your election speech. It is my understanding that NT can only use players from active teams. If the team later becomes a bot, the players are released as FA.

Even if you can use players from bot teams, they won't get training, so you still might be better off sticking to players from any active teams.

The thing is that there are no active teams in Shqiperi right now, and when next season rolls around there may not be any active teams either except for myself. Perhaps what could happen in this case, and in others like it, would be that if a new country is created and there are no active users that a NT-manager is selected/appointed by the BBs. After he selects the NT players from the bot teams, those players are then released into the FA pool to be picked up by active teams from other countries. As more teams sign up for a given league and begin to train their players, fewer and fewer NT players will be selected from bot teams.

While this may not be an ideal situation, I think it is as good as it can get right now. It allows new countries' NTs to develop and introduces more quality players into the FA pool, allowing them to get training. I'd be interested in hearing a BB's response to this suggestion.

actually players in bot teams do get training, you just simply don't know which.

The bot team has (I asume) always the same starters and back-ups and trainingtype.
So if you have a player on the NT that is a starter in the bot team, he will get his minutes and stay in shape.
Ofcourse chances are bigger the player in question is not a starter .... (I guess 5 chances in 18 that he will be)

You do have a good point there, but I fear this will not happen, since it would make things too coplex, and to a lesser point also would make bot teams to weak (they loose their best player(s).

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Teams that have been bots from the start do not get any training at all.

Teams that get reset to "Managed by a computerized owner" likely don't, either, since their rosters reset.

I don't think the rosters get reset. I played a bot last night that is still using players in his line-up from when the human owner was given the team at the end of season 2. This team just turned over to bot status since I started BB last month as I remember seeing a last login date for him when I first started.

There are about 10 countries from last season with less than 10 active owners. I'm not sure that if they are limited to active teams, it is OK for another country to use any players. Also the new countries have 3 divisions, while some existing only have 2, which gives them 4 times as many bots.
