I think you misunderstood what I meant. The trader won't be able to buy the player for 1.3 to 1.5 million because the owner will set 2 million as the minimum he wants. So a trader will have to pay 2 million to buy the player.

Basically another way of putting it is that you can bid on a player, and then the owner can decide to accept the bid or decline the bid. If he declines the bid then he gets taxed. If he accepts the bid then the player is sold. Maybe he has 24 hours to accept the bid?

Hello,
Maybe we could do it another way, that i think would be more interesting, and will add some more fair trades.

Whenever we put a player up for sale, the seller should have a minimum and maximum possible price, so that the player would get listed in a "fair" range of selling price.
If we want to sell him fast, then we can ask his minimum sale price, but if we want a better price for him, then we should get a limitation on the maximum price we can ask for him.
These minimum and maximum price limits, should be directly related with player´s wages and skills for his position.

Another possibility we should add, is the automatic player transferlisting, where the seller can define a "fair" price at which we would be open to sell that player.
When someone placed a bid on this player, then we would be automatically put in the transferlist, where others could outbid the inicial buyer, or if not we would get the player for the defined price.

Even when, a team faces the possibility of going bankrupt, the players should always get transferlisted for their minimum price, and not the all team being sold for 1$, because then that team would get a better chance of bouncing back.

Another change that should be implement, is the impossibility to bid on your own player in order to bump up his price.

should be close to be impossible, less then 50% of my roster have a TPE and from the other 50% the TPE is far away from the real value. maybe this is more extrem with top notch players, but this system could only work if you had good estimations for every player or you had to use very wide difference betwen minimum and maximum price which makes it useless.

It would be nice to see some stats that show hom many of the transfer listed players are sold anyway. I am looking for a guard right now and it seems that less than 10% will be sold, the other 90% are listed at unaffordable prices, way over their market value.

You're not the first to suggest something needs to be done about this but the BBs are yet to do anything about it.

I completely disagree, I look for players all the time and I find that the majority of players have bids on them.
Could you share what skills you are looking for on the guard? Or give examples of guards that are listed wayyyyy above their market value.

Try this:

Jumpshot: 9
Passing: 8
Age max: 23
salary min: 20.000

Thats more or less the player I am looking for, I estimate that 1 out of 15 has a bid, the others are listed at prices nobody wants to pay... Also the filter I use is not very specific...

Those are very good players, and you have to expect to pay a lot for them.
I think part of the reason many of them don't have bids is because they are not eligible for playoffs, and everyone is waiting on the draft before picking up young players. And some of them do have bids.
Some of them are overpriced, but bbmail the owner an offer and he might relist it at that price.

The majority wont get sold - and thats the problem I adressed. I dont want to see a market flooded with players that aren't for sale technically becaus the owner can expect not to get a player sold for the price he asks. Thats not how auction markets are intended to work!

The only players that get sold for realistic prices seem to be the free agents...
