I sort of agree. It has been said many times that BB is a marathon not a sprint and this is true. However when some players start the marathon 10 seasons earlier than others it doesn't mean that they are actually better managers. In the old days you could have players in the top leagues with $5,000 salaries as starters while money flooded in. If anyone started 10 seasons ago and they are even slightly competent they should be in an upper league.
Meanwhile there could be the most brilliant manager in BB in division IV in USA because he only started 3 seasons ago. So no I don't think division is a good guide.
However to defend Naker, he wasn't having a go at Japan at all, obviously there are several brilliant managers in Japan, however I understand that division II is the lowest there so a division II player in Japan may have started playing yesterday while a division II player in Austaliia will have played at least two seasons. That doesn't mean the Australian coach is better, not at all, not one bit, it just means you are guaranteed a certain level of experience from the Australian division II coach, even though he may be a total moron.
