i think your right about the clock stopping with a shot witch is not normal
By the way, the rebound was collected at the 0:01 mark. It's a well known fact that it's utterly impossible to collect a rebound from under the rim, pass the ball down the court for a near half-court three point attempt all in the matter of 1 second.
the only logical explenation which could be it (but did not happen) is after the rebound coach calls time out.
Then the time stops, 30 seconds talk at the side and the ball goes back in the game when time STARTS at BALLpossesion.
You have exactly one second left to pull the trigger, If he releases the ball before the buzzer its a legal basket if he scores.
So the pass to the player is timeless and will not be taken into the time to play. Time will start when the guard or forward has the ball.
Just for the fun off it i had my team try to make a shot like that for a few times on practice, they failed with the rebound and the pass to the shooter (big surprise) but with the reboundoption with time out they made the shot 90% in time and with a hit ratio off 60% with a set shot. Jump shot was utterly impossible although one of the guard made it.
Is this a major flaw? no i don't think so, it is anoying i grant you that but its workable.
What pisses me off is the fact that if your 25 points up, your caoch will change the team, no matter what kind off setting you use and there goes your points advantage at the end of the season. Why not make it a complete humiliation for the other team and let my players score 50 or 70 points lead before the can hit the shower.
