I am not even sure if they are reliable for that. I think all things considered they are only useful as a tie breaker if the players are exactly alike in all other ways.

Well, I had this debate already with someone else, but if you guys think all the boxscore is good for is to see if they can hit a free throw, then you are missing out on some pretty decent skill indicators. I see lots of people saying how useless the boxscore is, but just because there is no quantifiable skills or definitive answers given by a box score doesn't mean it's useless.

but when you share the box scores with your guys from the league, where you expect that it is the same player the boxscore are sometimes really different - which means there is a lot of random involved.

I am using it for a tiebreaker between my 5/3 A+ and 3/5 C.

OK, I could explain to you what that boxscore tells me, but I don't want to give up any of my secrets ;)

But it's not surprising that the 4 and 5 ball talent had worse box scores. They are not very useful is comparing player A to player B since there are too many variables in terms of the level of talent they were playing that game, what offense, what defense, etc.

Hi!

I have a ranking question too and need to take your advice. I have 3 players with 4 star ratings and 2 potential ball and 6 players with 2 star ratings and nothing else. All players are at same age (18). Do you think I should gamble and rank these 6 players over others or not? I will sell the draftee probably.

Well none of these players will likely sell for much but 1 and 2 star players usually have have very poor skills so i put them down the bottom of my list.

Yer im my opinion, i think people put a higher value on the potential of a young player, rather than their stats.

Also to take into consideration is their age and height. Obviously 18 year old better, but the smart buyers out put bigger value on shorter playerrs for guards, and taller players for centre/pf.

So im my opinion, id go with A-B-C-D, in that order. As long as you get A or B, you should get a bit of dough for them.
