Hey all.
There seems to be a bit of talk that I'll be making some kind of a run at the title this season.
I can assure you that I'm not and would be very pleasently surprised if I make the finals.
There are some real big holes in my list which the favourites do not have.
Next season may be a slight chance.

Tan Nguyen - MVP! Set to be unleashed dependent on how far I get in the Cup.

Wishing everybody luck for the coming season.

Still not sure where I will end up, but some of you may be seriously underrating McArthur in my team. I think he'll do well as a one-two punch with Dell'Asta, then there's our U21 PG Ton.

I'm lacking a bit of depth at the moment, so looking to rectify that soon.

Exciting times ahead!

Last season was very exiting and this season should see more tight matches then ever.

As far as finals go, I can not see my team achieving that unless a couple others slip up. Praying I can get the 10 wins required to stay safe. Gonna be a fun, yet stressful season for my team but that's what I love about games like this.

Good luck to you all expect for my rivals ;)

Yep we are in rebuilding mode as well and it means we won't be featuring in the playoff picture. My first season of potential relegation hope I make it through.

I hope we don't end up in relegation zone and playoff against each other cause that will be sad.

You've still got a few good players and I'm sure that you'd still be a tough team to beat. Grothe is a fine example and those 46 points he scored 8-16 from 3PT range and 17 rebounds as an PF makes him an early contender for MVP. You've still got Desmont and Manovsky, so I'm sure that you'll figure out what you need before end of season, and then you'll start ripping teams.

Wrapped I won my 1st up match over DT as these early matches are so vital for my team. Ex ABBL team Snuffies next, so no rest for my guys.

Should be a good game, yes snuffies are an ex ABBL team, but when I last looked you are also an ex ABBL team.

The only new teams to get a win in the first round were snuffies, and maggots. I play maggots next up, so should be good to see how I stack up agaisnt the new compition.

The only real blow out was Fat Boys, but they appear to be saving up their stars for a cup run, so not a real lot we can read into that result. Except a free game to Northcote.

Match of the round this round I think is Suffies taking on Yarra Park Bears. Should be a good game with both teams pretty even in all positions, but I think looking at the positions that Snuffies have a stronger point guard position, and will get over Yarra Park by 8 points.

Yeah I know that would be terrible given our history

We will see if I can get some firepower behind me and make some noise. On the flipside I have never drafted better than eighth so a bad season might help me get some youthful talent in.

Bad early starts last two seasons have put us in the hole. Good for you to have one under the belt.

wierd startto the season with teams tanking for the cup, hard to get a guage on where everyone is at.

1 good thing for me is that it looks like I will be making a profit every week this season, rather than losing $40+ K every week.

Yeah.

First cup games start soon. I wonder who will be the first to get kicked out of the cup this season?
Looks like there are a few teams planning to go an a cup run, so there should be some easy games for some teams come week 3 or 4 onwards.

Interesting to note everyone seems to be in a rebuilding phase this season, trying to talk down their ambitions and turn the target onto another team.

So I think I will join the chorus and state that I need to start rebuilding, especially when you look at the ages of m players, all starting to get a little too close to the 30 year average.
